also found this off a site :
Some other side effects of antipsychotics include rigidity, persistent muscle spasm, tremors and restlessness. Occasionally long-term use of typical antipsychotic meds may lead to tardive dyskinesia or TD. This causes muscle movements a person can’t control usually around the mouth.

Hey guys the best source of information on medication is from the Government's PBS website http://www.pbs.gov.au/pbs/home
Just search for your medication on the top right corner and when you find it look for the CMI link next to the medication. Follow that through and you'll get the information. You can also get the same information by asking your chemist.
This is the most accurate source of information.
Also agree with @Former-Member better to stay on than not.

Hi @Shaz51, thanks for mentioning me in this thread. To answer your question, the guidelines as members to keep discussion about meds broad and general - as you all have done.![]()
So sticking to naming the family of drugs rather than going into specifically what medication is ok. And avoiding mentioning doses is helpful too.
We basically just want to make sure that people don't make decisions based on information on here, as getting the right meds is a complex thing. So it's best to speak with your doc.

Thank You @CherryBomb, yes Hubby went to the doctor this week to get some repeats and the doctor noticed he had not had a blood test for nearly 2 years , so he has had some blood tests done and just waiting for the results in a week or twoo

@Shaz51, @Former-Member,
Look them up individually on https://www.drugs.com/ there's a lot of short-term and long-term side effect information specific to each. Some have heart failure warnings, and may cause worsening symptoms.
Just be on some sort of plan to get off them. Like work on relationships/health/future and be stable in ups & downs as much as you can. When I was getting off anti-psychotics it was a nightmare and basically resorted to humming a choir-boy high tone.. in the morning went and saw a Chiropractor to put my spine back in from all the stress.. they're angels. Later the Psychiatrist said "oh yer you probably want to go into a hospital to get off them"...he had no plans for my future just to keep me on them.
