Sunday Coffee and Chat -- 30th November 2025

@heartathome I am not worried about the outcome of the surgery. I just thought it was a massive coincident that it appears on the show I was watching. I have faith in my surgeon and he has operated on me twice before.

I am just getting a bit anxious about how far I will have to walk from where I park my car, to the building. And if my back is going to get me there. I will take some pain killers before I leave. So hopefully that takes the edge off.

Oh @Mustang67 Your back must be bad! Can you get hold of a wheelchair for the walk to the building? I'm glad you've got faith in your surgeon, and you know him! Good idea about the pain killers. 💛

I am well. Thanks for your message. Yes I think I shake due to medication too. It can be really annoying at times. I hate taking medication too. I am excited about the bike but a little nervous too. I went to the racetrack to watch some motorcycle training yesterday. That was interesting. I don’t think I want to do that myself though. I need to assemble the gingerbread house that I baked yesterday. It is going to be stinking hot here today, forecast 38 degrees. I have to go out at lunchtime and then to a group in the afternoon but my air conditioning in the car is broken.

Luckily we put aircon in the house last year so I will be able to come home to cool down.

My medication makes me shake too @Oaktree . Annoying isn’t it. My sister once made me a coffee and filled it right to the top of the mug. Then she laughed at me for carrying it really carefully. No understanding.

Glad to hear you're well @Oaktree 38 degrees is wicked, especially with no aircon in the car!! Going back to the olden day aircon, hey. I hope you can get it fixed soon! You needed aircon where you live by the sounds of it! Did you bake the gingerbread house for anyone in particular? Can you put a photo of it up when it's finished or are you as technically minded as me? 😆💛

Sure I can put a photo up when the gingerbread house is finished but I don’t know when that will be. I have to buy a base and lollies yet. I am making it as a decoration for Christmas. I made one years ago with my son so it’s a little bit of reminiscence. He is a chef now and far too busy in December to help his mum with a gingerbread house.

Wow. You're a cook... and your son! I don't cook at all but love the food made by others! 😁 Nothing like a home cooked meal. I look forward to seeing the completed gingerbread house! I just put my Christmas tree up and reminisced with every decoration. Most of them were given to me by my mother or my son. Will you see your son this Christmas? My son is working over Christmas.

@heartathome My appointment went well, and since I don't have too many other issues, it only took 1 and a half hours instead of the predicted 2 to 4 hours.

I just have to make sure I take my blood pressure medication regularly, as if my blood pressure is too high on the day, they might cancel the operation.
