@Mustang67 I'm glad your appointment went well, and you got such a close park to the hospital! It's good that you only have to take blood pressure medication and no other things as well. Does the medication keep it down? I gather stress and anxiety doesn't help.

Have you got any plans for today? 💛

@heartathome he mentioned the blood pressure medication because I told him that I don't always remember to take it. And my blood pressure was up, because I was getting anxious about how far I might have to walk. I was lucky as I had my mum's disabled permit in my car. If I didn't, I would have had to park in the main car park, and the walk would have been very painful.

I never miss my antidepressants as I hate the zappy feeling I get in my head when I do. I also have to regularly use my asthma preventer and my puffer every day between now and the operation. So basically, I have to get my shit together and get on top of my medications.

Fair enough @Mustang67 The disability permit was a great idea! I'm glad it was in your car!

Yeah, I start to feel sick if I don't take my meds for a couple of days. That's how I know if I've forgotten to take them.

I have a webster pack for my meds to try and help me remember if I've taken them or not. It usually works!

I remember my father having to take some kind of puffer for asthma although I never saw him short of breath. He would beat me running around the block as a teenager! I guess if he didn't take it, it would have been another story!

I hope you can have a relaxing afternoon. 💛

@heartathome I have just come back from seeing one of my therapists. It was my second to last session with her, and she reminded me of all the things that I have achieved over the past 2½ years. It was good to hear of all the things that I managed to achieve, even though at the time, I didn't think it would be able to do so.

I already use a webster pack. Because I take a reflux medication, i can't take any other medication, 4 hours either side of taking it. I also can't take an antidepressant at the same time as a blood pressure medication, otherwise I can feel that the antidepressant doesn't work. So if I sleep during the time I am suppose to take them, it stuff everything up, and I end up forgetting to take it. But I will be making more of an effort to take them all before the surgery.

I am also booked in to start my new physio and exercise program in January next year, so i can try and get some of my life back.

That's a bit scary, knowing that the therapy is coming to an end @Mustang67 . How do you feel about it finishing? I would be devastated if I couldn't see my psychiatrist! He keeps me grounded when I get overwhelmed. Isn't it wonderful when you can see how much growth that's happened, though.

A mental health hub that I had been attending for most days for three and a half years closed down about a month ago. I was heartbroken and upset until we sat down and they showed me how far I'd come.

Now I have many beautiful people on here! 😊 Sometimes I even get overwhelmed with the number of posts I reply to, which is everyone! 😆 It takes time, especially when I'm not a fast typist but I love it! 😁 Everyone has been so kind and supportive!

Your medication routine sounds complicated, and I can understand forgetting them. The new physio and exercise program sounds massive and exciting. Are you looking forward to it? 💛

I have another therapist that I see occasionally, and I love seeing her, as she gives it to me straight. And if I am not helping myself, she gives me a kick up the bum.

My main issue affecting me at the moment, is the PTSD and being awake into the early hours of the morning. So I am seeing her to help me with this. She wants to do some tapping with me. I have heard of it, but never done it, or really understand how it works.

I can see how having the mental health hub closing down would be devasting for you. Did they arrange some other support system for you.

It's funny how it takes other people to point out too us, just how far we have come, as we can't see it until it is pointed out to us. I wonder why that is.

I am like you, when I go on here, I go through my emails to make sure I don't miss any mentions, so I can reply to them, and yes it can be overwhelming at times. but for me, I have nothing else to do with my time, so it keeps me occupied.

There are definitely some beautiful on here, which make me feel cared about and supported.

I am really excited and looking forward to starting the physio and exercise program, as my daughter misses out on doing so much with me, and I want to spend time with her, taking her places.
