Through One's Eyes

Through One's Eyes

I have started this new thread for others to share and enjoy The World of Art. The title is a reflection on the many different views and ways of seeing art that is very subjective to the viewer.

Anyone can share a piece they have produced, are working on or would like to one day 'get around to doing'.

Many 'forumites' use art as a form of therapy or grounding/coping strategies - so please also share your experiences of these also.

It is also a place to discuss what people like, dislike are drawn to and the feelings ellicited from producing and viewing any pieces.

Feel free to add images or topics of discussion and enjoy the wonderful world that we can share through Art.

Hi @Zoe7 .... 👋

Here is an edge of something I have made, in relief against a black background ..... enough to see, I hope, that I have used pieces of coloured paper over white, so it looks like a mosaic design. I have varnished it, and now it looks like it is made out of ceramic.

Like most other artists of the age, he probably had his stages and influences @Zoe7

Yes you are probably right there @Faith-and-Hope and I guess I really know some of his more well known works and have based my opinion on those. He has never been an artist I have wanted to look too deeply into either.

Love your piece of art ...FAITH @Faith-and-Hope

tut .. Misbehaving drop down box

@Zoe7

I have always liked Munch as he quickly resonated with my experience. NOt that I wanted darkness or despair, but it was kind of "nice" that his painting was so evocative and left me feeling less alone.

I have been mending today, plus driving lesson, opera session for son, and technique and a Beethoven mass for me, and a yummy dinner. still licking lips..

That is the power of art @Appleblossom @Faith-and-Hope we can all view the same piece(s) and have completely different reactions to them.
