Through One's Eyes

I have started this new thread for others to share and enjoy The World of Art. The title is a reflection on the many different views and ways of seeing art that is very subjective to the viewer.

Anyone can share a piece they have produced, are working on or would like to one day 'get around to doing'.

Many 'forumites' use art as a form of therapy or grounding/coping strategies - so please also share your experiences of these also.

It is also a place to discuss what people like, dislike are drawn to and the feelings ellicited from producing and viewing any pieces.

Feel free to add images or topics of discussion and enjoy the wonderful world that we can share through Art.

Thank you @Bunniekins. Could I ask you for your opinion on which one out of the three you liked best? I ask this because I have to pick one to enter into a competition. When I post some more I might ask you all the same as I have to narrow done only one finished artwork to enter. Thanks my friend xxx

@outlander - the third one took a very long time to do - 8 months. Her skin was stitch one thread over one for fine lifelike detail. I need a magnifier for it. And all the beading, crystals and metallics etc take time. Can I ask you out of three which you liked best? As I mentioned to greenpea I have to narrow down one of my embroidery artworks to enter in a competition. So I may seek your expert advice from time to time if you don't mind. I know what a talented person you are and so I appreciate your feedback. Thanks lovely lady

@outlander It is a very hard choice. I narrow it down to number one and number 3 with number 3 ahead. She looks like a painting. She is excuisite.

Thank you @Bunniekins that really does helps me narrow it down. No 3 was my favourite - her skin I stitched one thread over one hole on a very fine linen and withnthe above mentioned added detail gave her a life like look. I call it painting with threads 😄

Yep no.3 @Former-Member the details are very fine and there is alot to look at. I can see alot of work went into it to get it to the precision you have done it with.

I cant do cross stitching bur happy to give my thoughts. Trying to thin who else does cross stitching... i know @Former-Member does patchwork...
Anyway happy to help. Love them all but no3 is my favourite

If i was to pick second it would be the second pic for the same reasons above. Alot of detail and has the painting effect and i think the colours work well @Bunniekins kinda reminds me of an 'edited' background thar some people can do on computers to give them a magic lift.

I did tag @Former-Member - it will be interesting to hear which one she likes best too, but I think no 3 has bagged it haha. I loved your painting on same page too outlander - I would love to see more of your work 💕
