Yep multiple times a day at the most inconvenient times and when feeling forbidden hits deeper @Till23

hey @Till23 it's definitely not just you.

a few of us mods have experienced it too, and i know i definitely felt a bit of panic when i wasn't able to get on. we do apologise for how frustrating and overwhelming it can feel having that sign pop up.

we've let the IT team know too, and sent screenshots where we can. for IT to be able to fix it, they need to be able to replicate that error too which unfortunately, they haven't been able to figure out yet. but rest assured, it is still being worked on! the more IT forms sent, the better it 😊

you can also try:

• clearing all caches and cookies
• closing all tabs and trying again

not sure if it'll work but might be worth giving a go if it happens again. hope this helps a bit!

Unfortunate when it's an intermittent problem that IT can't see.

I was probably moved to comment because I am tired, after not getting much sleep and then up at 5.30am this morning for volunteering.

I went a few days without a problem @Till23. then I wrote a post on here questioning something and it appeared and locked me out. Felt really personal.

Yes @Captain24 it probably seems personal when you really want to read or post something, but it is a forum-wide problem. I was aware of that, but like you it had gone away and then has happened again, so thought I'd enquire about other people's experience.

I now feel lucky that I haven't had the 403 error - but I haven't been on since last night, so depends how long it's been happening.

From a tech perspective, 403 is usually an "unauthorised" access error. For example if there is a webpage that is unpublished/archived (only able to be seen by web editors, not the public). But sounds like it was randomly happening on your normal forum pages, so it sounds possibly something deeper in the account login/registration module not passing authentication/login data properly? Odd. Hope they can figure it out. It is so hard to find solutions to intermitted problems because you can't replicate it to test when it does or does not occur, or to even test a fix properly. Used to be the bane of my work life lol. I knew an open-source company who put up a reward for anyone who could identify what the root cause triggering a specific intermitted issue was; their devs couldn't figure it out even after over a year lol.

Ahha, of course I got the error message flashed up when I pressed "post" - but then it seemed to refresh itself and go through, and just had a bunch of layout weirdness instead.

That was on Chrome browser (on Mac), but now I've switched to Safari to see if it plays nice or not...

Didn't seem to have errors in the Network panel when it occurred. But did have some slow-loading alerts in the console, but that was all.

Yeah @AlwaysMyself because I get the Danish translation pop-up I thought maybe it was objecting to some character in the post, but it happens quite randomly I am unable to notice a common factor that it is interpreting as unauthorised access.

Yes I work on the breakfast shift at the soup kitchen type place where I volunteer. It has advantages and disadvantages. There's virtually no traffic and you can get nearby parking which doesn't start metering until 9am.

Yeah I get it on Chrome on PC and safari on iphone @AlwaysMyself, there's is also definitely a long load time problem
