That's my partner's music @lonemushroom He was a guitar teacher (that's how I met him 22 years ago) until he went Deaf. I'll let him know. He'll be tickled pink that someone else knows who he is and has a love for his guitar work. I'm more a Fleetwood Mac fan. 😁 💛

@Shaz51 so good to see you too I always look forward to seeing you on here 😊 I’m not where you are but it’s the same here about the weather and aircon, I have my aircon on to the max and every fan I could find around the house plugged in everywhere and it’s still struggling. not great hey 😰 hopefully the temperature drops even a little bit as the evening comes along, just a crumb of wind would be nice! I was enjoying the cool stormy weather the past few days while it lasted lol

hello @Blackcloud long time no see 😊 that’s my fault though as my ADHD brain can struggle to keep up with everything on here a lot haha. I’m sorry to hear you’ve been struggling lately 😞 I’m so glad you had fun trying out ten-pin bowling for the first time! it truly is so much fun

@heartathome you’re definitely talking to the right person as I’m a HUGE Fleetwood Mac fan! saw the legends live in concert a few times and they’re just constantly fantastic. I always love reminding people it was actually Fleetwood Mac who did Black Magic Woman first and Carlos Santana’s version was a cover. I was lucky enough that they had added it to the setlist of one of their concerts I went to and wow was it a huge highlight.

hello @AuntGlow 😊 how are you going? I’ve been a bit of a busy bee with general day to day hassles but getting there even if it’s very slowly. I feel like I’m just constantly waiting for my next break most of the time but by the time I get one I’m spending all of it physically recuperating from stress and then everything gets chaotic again 😅 but at least being in recoveryclub means I HAVE to have that time for myself regularly! and a good reason to say “nope, sorry can’t do that today I have one of my zoom groups” which I am super grateful for

Well, they always have 2 peer support workers at the CHIME chats all the time to direct & moderate the Zoom groups.

All of them are wonderful in their own ways & really supportive.

💯 SANE has helped me so much in the last year.

I honestly feel like I've found my "NeuroTribe".

I don't think I would have make it through without SANE & a few others in my life when a lot of my hope was lost.

It's still a struggle a lot for me, but I'm so grateful every day now.

His younger brother passed a couple of weeks ago @AuntGlow He's got the viewing tomorrow. He's on the spectrum and is struggling with his family's grief. He doesn't cope very well when people are upset. We'll have a farewell on Thursday so my partner will stay with me until then. He's talking a lot about his brother and is happy with me. I'm doing well!

Aww @Blackcloud I'm sorry that you can't find that positive turning point! It sounds like a frustrating and lonely place to be. I understand losing hope when a flood wiped out my home. Now I try to be grateful whenever I can. That is helping me at the moment. Please don't think I'm telling you what to do. That's what works for me! My SANE counsellor would like me to get into mindfulness practices like meditation and relaxation. I'm finding it impossible to achieve anything more than ten seconds! 😆 I like listening to old music, playing Sudoku and Mahjong and am generally on here. 💛

I'm glad that you got to try tenpin bowling! What an awesome game that is! Did you use the side rails and the thing the ball rolls off? I haven't had a game of bowling in years! It's so much fun! Did you find anything new or interesting at the Disability Expo? 💛
