Welcome and getting started

Will I

Will I

Hello

Not sure which location

Not sure which topic

Not sure what to say

I feel fed up with living with a mind that just does not stop

Feelings that flood without warning

Energy depleted

If I can get myself outside nature rescues me

My garden and park rescue me

My sanctuary

I just have to get outside

Re: Will I

Hello @meu2, it can be so hard living with a mind that doesn't stop and when those feelings hit without warning.

I'm glad that nature, being out in your garden and going to the park helps you. Sometimes it's nice to grab a cuppa and just sit out in the garden ☺️.

Re: Will I

@meu2 sometimes all the choice is overwhelming. I am also a person who needs to get outside, I love how you expressed it. Nature rescues me. Yes, it can be a wonderful sanctuary.

Re: Will I

@meu2 I am also really enjoying the rain. I actually hope it continues into the morning so i can enjoy a sleep in while listening to it!

For some reason, when it rains, i can rest. It's like I've finally been given 'permission'.

This might sound strange, but when it's nice weather and I want to rest inside, my mind shames me and tells me I ';should' be doing something outside and enjoying the weather. So it's nice to get a little reprieve from the weather when i can't give it to myself. x

Re: Will I

Hey @meu2 I also really love nature and walks like @MissGremlin @Appleblossom @blue_wren 💜

I find my mind really does settle on walks too, it’s awesome you have a park that you like going to and your garden ☀️🌈🌻, do you like animals or have an interest in gardening?

Its been lovely to chat, I hope you have a good night and have a good day tomorrow 🙏

I visited my friend who was raised on a farm old school. I left with a pack of Belgian chicken eggs. She is old and vulnerable but also such a rich and authentic woman.

Re: Will I

Hello @blue_wren

Quite late in responding to your reply.

That is me in a nutshell though. I have slowed down so much due to chronic this chronic that

chronic trying to work out what mind is actually trying to tell me now

result do very little other than distract

some days are better than others I realise as I read what I am writing here

So beneficial in responding to others

Yes warm sunny days almost try to incite me outside with promises of achieving more

Yes I tend to stay in if I am overtired over whatever

Then other days I simply walk outside and one foot in front of the other leads to a few hours later feeling warm inside and nature yet again has nurtured me

I understand how you feel

Our minds are incredible though

Now I tell myself perhaps there is actually a reason why my mind is responding in this way today. Works most times as helps keep that pesky guilt at bay

I also love looking from indoors out and feel calm now so nature is still there for me even when I am not physically in it.

Hope that all makes sense

Keep on loving this world which in my mind is Nature not all the other stuff

Re: Will I

hello @Chasingsunsets

As I mentioned to @blue_wren

I am a bit late for the party but have arrived now

You asked if I like animals and gardening

Answer

My favourite pastime is gardening

I love love love animals birds bees wildlife unless they are slimy or slither

gardening is what invites me outside and then I lose myself for hours

How about yourself?

Re: Will I

She is in her 80s and grew up on a farm in Australia, but then go very selective about breeds etc.

@meu2

She had a wonderful pheasant for a while too ...

hope you are going alright...
