Moving forward (sexual abuse )

Moving forward (sexual abuse )

Hi fellow Sane people
Im really struggling with the disclosure of my sexual abuse and how to move forward.
Yes im safe and all the right steps have been taken etc but im still struggling to move forward
Im wondering what people have done snd strategies you've used in order to get through it?

Does it get easier over time?

Im very embarrassed and ashamed and scared by it and struggling so any help would be great.
It would be great to know if there are any other survivors on here and how you are now and how it affect the way you live

Re: Moving forward (sexual abuse )

Hi @Former-Member .... ❤️💕

I was out last night, and fell asleep goin through some posts last night. My inbox was pretty full when I came home. I know I fell asleep, and after making us late to go out .... grrr .... it was my D3 who came in to see me, found me asleep on the iPad, and removed it and tucked me in ... I woke up to find her rolling her eyes and muttering about mothers !!

The roles reverse .....

I could see you came up against a trigger last night.

Lifeline are not just about chatting .... they have connections with other services and can recommend a health line to call to help you work out what meds you can safely take to at least ease the pain a little in your leg until you can get to a doctor and work out a pain management plan.

Psychological pain and physical pain will exaccerbate each other, so it is important to keep working with available supports to help in increments where you can.

When you find your pain is exceeding the support limits of the forum here, reach out to the moderators so they can offer you a higher level of support, but beyond that if you find you are in need of crisis counselling, you need to seek that level of help. The moderators will support you in this and provide contact numbers for you to call.

We are with you, but unable to provide crisis care ..... we can continue to support you with well-wishes and company when you feel up to it, but you are in our thoughts regardless.

Take care @Former-Member ..... I will be around for most of the day here and there.

❤️💕🌷

Hi @Former-Member .... we haven't met yet ....

Hi @Faith-and-Hope, @Former-Member, @Funshine and all

Just touching base that I have been in contact with Scared01. She and I have had some good emails today. We have a safety plan and she is doing ok. She wanted you all to know she is fine but will have a break from the forum for today and will be doing some study.

Thanks for your concern

Hi @Former-Member for whenever you are ready to read posts again.

Study sounds like a good plan.

It helps to epress things and get them out there, but then to be able to get on with stuff is the ultimate goal. Take care.

Re: Moving forward (sexual abuse )

Hi @Former-Member glad to see you're back online. Haven't been around much myself..just dealing I guess and not very well. As always things have been happening. Spent the past few days looking after dogs who have both come down with some vomiting bug. Thought I was going to lose my best bud and cried all over the vet but he seems to have come good. I was probably just tired, so emotional. You know how that is!

Went to see a naturopath today to see if she could help with pain etc. Anyway ended up getting some homeopathic drops that are supposed to be good with helping stabalise thoughts brought about by sexual abuse. Not really sure how they work but am willing to give it a go..safe and cheap. No interaction with other drugs either!

Anyway look after yourself. Has any9ne @Appleblossom@Faith-and-Hope heard about these homeopatic remedies? I really need some good vibes coming through, so if you've got some send them my way and of course I'll reciprocate!

Bb.
