Saturday Soiree -- 15th November 2025

Thank you very much @Kashmina . I’m patient. I sometimes like to cook. Just made a lasagne. It is in the oven now. Also cooked two lamb chops. Got Chines takeaway leftover so will eat that for lunch and dinner today and probably tomorrow too, maybe longer. Will freeze lasagne and chops if I have enough space in the freezer. Will make cheesecake on Tuesday. I have 2 appts Monday and I’ve had enough of cooking for today.

Your welcome @GezzaP your efforts of cooking are great

Let me know how you go 😊

I’m not so good at baking @Kashmina . Best at savoury dishes. So will see how go with cheesecake. Will need to check recipe to see what I need to buy.

@Jynx That sounds like an amazing idea for Milo. I love Milo, I have either a Milo bar or Milo with warm milk for supper most days.

I was just thinking about Garfield with the fussy cat and lasagna cooking lol @GezzaP was that planned or just good luck? Thanks for the laugh anyway, I needed that.

@Jynx I've been listening to Oasis, Coldplay, Disney songs, Ed Sheeran and Matchbox 20.

hello @Ruby26 , how are you going today xx

@GezzaP , @Kashmina , @DogMan79 , @Adge

Hi @Shaz51 @Ruby26 @GezzaP @Kashmina @Adge @Ru-bee @Jynx @Chasingsunsets @tyme @AlwaysMyself @rav3n @DogMan79 and all forumites here this Friday afternoon. I hope your day is going well for you!

@Shaz51 How is your cold going? Are you getting better? I hope you’re feeling better soon!

As for me, it’s been a morning of some slight stress but this afternoon has been spent knitting a new jumper for charity and watching the start of the Ashes cricket test match on tv-England chose to bat after winning the toss and at lunch are currently 4/105. I did watch the Hobart Hurricanes match yesterday afternoon with them wining and saw the last half of the Sydney Sixers match with Melbourne stars winning last night. The rest of the afternoon is going to be spent watching the cricket with the weekend looking like this as well with some knitting and packing planned.

Take care!

I hope your day improves @Judi9877 .

I was thinking about this thread this morning, as I was at a cafe and ordered pancakes. and they were Japanese big fluffy pancakes @Kashmina @GezzaP @Jynx ! They were also coffee-flavoured! 😮 I will post a photo in a second post from my phone which has the photo.

I am going to keep hold of that recipe. 🙂 I have been curious to try making Japanese cheesecake also, due to its fluffy texture. I think I made a soufflé once before, but many many years ago. I know they are renowned for "flopping" when taken out of the oven too early lol.

 coffee pancakes (Japanese style)

Oooooh lalala @AlwaysMyself That' Japanese pancake whatever it is looks delish!!!

Hey @Judi9877 ! Great to see you swing by!
