~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

Hey hi hello! Welcome to the second iteration of...

~ The Toolshed ~

I decided to make a new thread, as the first one had errors and phantom pages, and was getting quite long! You can still find all the amazing pics, inspiring quotes, and uplifting messages of the first Toolshed here.

What is the Toolshed? Ain't a place to hang your hammer! Hehe this is a space where we can share the things that have helped us in our recovery. Tools, coping skills, inspiring ideas, and messages of hope and growth, is what this space is all about!!

You can stay connected and up to date on this space by favouriting, or by subscribing to the thread - head to the top of the page, and find the three dots to the right of the thread title (next to the star), click, and from the drop down menu you can 'favourite' or 'subscribe' - and clicking the star itself will also favourite the thread for you.

Favourite threads are then always available in your favourites list which should appear on the right hand side of most forums pages - or you can go to your profile and scroll down to the 'Favourites' section under your recent posts.

If you subscribe, it means that you will get a notification every time someone posts something new in the thread. So up to you if you simply want it to be always accessible, or if you want all the updates, or both!

I invite anyone who wishes to contribute to do so! It doesn't have to be pictures, it can be discussion, questions, videos, whatever you like! So without further ado, here's my latest batch!

@Cuddlebear I can't see them yet, but thank you for providing these affirmations - hopefully I'll see them later on ❤️

today I went to the ten-pin bowling with my support worker.

Even though I haven’t been feeling the best overall, however things such as going out with a companion (my support worker e.g.) can still make my days feel good in a way cause at least I did something that I know I need to do that’s important for my wellbeing.

@Blackcloud Yes hopefully will be approved soon. They are cute and funny ones.

Im so happy you did go bowling. I love bowling and plan to go in new year. I’m so crap at it but I really enjoy it.

@Cuddlebear I see those pictures now! oh they're so cute I love it!!

that's great you're planning to do bowling in the new year! well i hope you'll have fun with it hehe.

I am kind of worried about the funding I have remaining left on my NDIS portal and the upcoming appointment with the tribunal that I'll be having next year on march is making me kinda nervous. I have a support coordinator that is currently helping me with everything regarding the appeal/review though so I hope it all goes well. But then I also hope that the NDIA can approve of the decision and can add a lot more of the funding (according to my OT FCA) onto my NDIS portal by then.

I'm trying to not worry too much about not being able to have a support worker with me once a week or fortnight, cause these days (ever since my plan rollover) I've been aiming to have a support worker once a week, but now I cannot.

@Blackcloud How many hours of support worker did you have? How many have you lost?

Was it a roll over? Or did you have a reads ent with a planner?

Most people are successful at Tribunal.

@Cuddlebear 🤣 reminds me of a dog i had (labrador, typical lol) that stole and ate a rib eye steak that was defrosting on the bench.

@Blackcloud fingers crossed for you.

Re: ~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

@Cuddlebear Well with events that I go to with a support worker, it usually ranges from 3 hours to 4/5 hours depending.

according to the funding I was initially allocated when my NDIS plan was first created, I’ve realised that the total balance I was allocated with isn’t enough for me to be able to receive appropriate supports (especially from support workers) that I think I deserve to get on a weekly or regular basis, so I got my OT to record all the necessary hours and stuff needed on the FCA report she wrote for me as of late last month
