~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

Hey hi hello! Welcome to the second iteration of...

~ The Toolshed ~

I decided to make a new thread, as the first one had errors and phantom pages, and was getting quite long! You can still find all the amazing pics, inspiring quotes, and uplifting messages of the first Toolshed here.

What is the Toolshed? Ain't a place to hang your hammer! Hehe this is a space where we can share the things that have helped us in our recovery. Tools, coping skills, inspiring ideas, and messages of hope and growth, is what this space is all about!!

You can stay connected and up to date on this space by favouriting, or by subscribing to the thread - head to the top of the page, and find the three dots to the right of the thread title (next to the star), click, and from the drop down menu you can 'favourite' or 'subscribe' - and clicking the star itself will also favourite the thread for you.

Favourite threads are then always available in your favourites list which should appear on the right hand side of most forums pages - or you can go to your profile and scroll down to the 'Favourites' section under your recent posts.

If you subscribe, it means that you will get a notification every time someone posts something new in the thread. So up to you if you simply want it to be always accessible, or if you want all the updates, or both!

I invite anyone who wishes to contribute to do so! It doesn't have to be pictures, it can be discussion, questions, videos, whatever you like! So without further ado, here's my latest batch!

@Cuddlebear i spent 4-5 hours wandering around Melbourne CBD yesterday; good exercise and just looking at the street art and shops.

Got the transport back home today - nice and smooth. And tomorrow back to work. Thankfully my cold is almost all gone now 😊.

I'm sorry to hear you're still having a very hard time (but not surprised given the ongoing titration). I am hanging out for you for when you are fully off this one so yoh can start the new one and then have it start to take effect. I hope it is effective and in a few months time it will all feel worth it. 🤗

What did you do at home this weekend? Any good TV or movies or books? Interesting meals?

Hi @AlwaysMyself @MissGremlin @Cuddlebear @Bunniekins

for reasons I prefer not to go into, I’ve recently had my old account deleted and have made new account

thinking of you all

how are things going for everyone?

this time next week my cats will be in cattery due to me having week long planned hospital stay for pain relief infusion. Atm unwinding from upset caused by psychologist (will be starting with different psychologist in couple weeks)

Oooh, is this who I think it is (as in old account user) @Flutterbug9 ?? 😍 If so, I am so glad to see you back! (But totally not meaning that in any pressured way. I just love the jokes, posts and memes and conversations you bring. 😊)

Now a post on another thread I just responded to makes SO MUCH more sense knowing who this new account is. 🤣 You will probably think "but you already knew this?" but I was daft and didn't connect the accounts lol.

I hope the hospital stay goes well and the pain relief is effective, as well as some healing time mentally from the past psych stress. I hope you feel supported in the hospital, and know that you have a supportive family here too - but look after yourself first and if/when you need time offline to never feel bad or guilty about being absent. 🤗

love that tag name you chose @Flutterbug9

had you been seeing said [sychologist long?

hope you dont ,imd my asking i know well how hard and distressing it gets when therapy isnt what it should be and how magnified it gets when really needing the space to be safe.

good on you though if you stood up for yourself is reason for new one and if i misread the why and your distressed from an established relationship ending i im empathise as also know the sense of loss & distress goes with that....

Re: ~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

thanks for your words @REDLINEZ750

I’ve been seeing psychologist for approx 2.5yrs. There was some issues about this time last year that I addressed with her, gave her 2nd chance and told her there would not be a 3rd chance.

few weeks ago, issues started again and I requested transfer to different psychologist

never before at end of appointment with a therapist have I felt not good enough plus that I can’t do anything right

Re: ~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

@AlwaysMyself your guess is 100% correct. Deliberately choosing not to provide much info plus who I chat with. All good about the different messages. 🙂

the ‘but’ felt like undermined the small positive comment made. Worst part was the associated flashbacks.

hospital stay is through pain management team, Dr that I see is lovely to talk with. Easy to see she was a great psychiatrist prior to moving into pain management. Info booklet about the procedure mentions bring comfort items to hospital which I will be doing. I’m concerned how my cats will cope as they will be at a cattery. Know I’m looking forward to the time in hospital completely away from everything
