~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

Hey hi hello! Welcome to the second iteration of...

~ The Toolshed ~

I decided to make a new thread, as the first one had errors and phantom pages, and was getting quite long! You can still find all the amazing pics, inspiring quotes, and uplifting messages of the first Toolshed here.

What is the Toolshed? Ain't a place to hang your hammer! Hehe this is a space where we can share the things that have helped us in our recovery. Tools, coping skills, inspiring ideas, and messages of hope and growth, is what this space is all about!!

You can stay connected and up to date on this space by favouriting, or by subscribing to the thread - head to the top of the page, and find the three dots to the right of the thread title (next to the star), click, and from the drop down menu you can 'favourite' or 'subscribe' - and clicking the star itself will also favourite the thread for you.

Favourite threads are then always available in your favourites list which should appear on the right hand side of most forums pages - or you can go to your profile and scroll down to the 'Favourites' section under your recent posts.

If you subscribe, it means that you will get a notification every time someone posts something new in the thread. So up to you if you simply want it to be always accessible, or if you want all the updates, or both!

I invite anyone who wishes to contribute to do so! It doesn't have to be pictures, it can be discussion, questions, videos, whatever you like! So without further ado, here's my latest batch!

@MissGremlin awe thank you hehe 🫂❤️

Also, continuing to fight through day by day when life is always hard and impossible for me to continue fighting on even though I already gave my all and did my best to….’try and turn things in my life into a positive life’ countless times, but to no avail. It’s hard, so all I can do right now is just taking one step at a time..

(all I want to do is cry and go to sleep.)

@Blackcloud awwww sweetheart, I hear you. I'm living my life minute by minute at the moment so I truly understand sweet. You are doing well despite how hard things are and I'm hoping things get easier for you soon.

Hugs beautiful, I'm always here for you ❤️

@MissGremlin I won’t have my next session with my counsellor until two weeks time. I wrote her an email about something I mentioned to her in detail that I’d like for us to talk about in our next session - I was a bit nervous having to write such thing in detail, and this particular ‘issue’ is something I’ve been having for most of my life and it’s an ongoing occurrence.

So with that, that explains the part when I mentioned to you a while ago that it sucks that I can’t & unable to get/have everything I want in life, which has been the reason behind my passive S thoughts for a while & wishing that things would’ve been different for the better for me if perhaps I didn’t develop any autistic related traits at a really young age.

@Blackcloud I understand sweet and I'm hoping your counsellor can offer support with this issue you have.

I know the autistic traits can make things harder to achieve but not impossible. Keep going, keep taking things one step at a time, you've got this sweet and we are always with you every step of the way ❤️

Re: ~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

thank you friend @MissGremlin ❤️

got any plans for today? I'm thinking of going to the CBD again to do some uni studies at a library there. There's this unit that I've made a switch to since last week and I haven't started planning for the current assignment yet so hopefully I can start that today, even if that means by only just starting off with a mind map for now.

@Blackcloud I've gotta head to the shops at some stage today but other than that I have no plans since my counselling appointment that was supposed to be today was cancelled yesterday.

Going into the CBD to head to the library sounds great. Hope you can make a start on the current assignment ☺️

@Blackcloud i understand it must be very hard for you not to have such support and love in your life, although i have such love and support in my life. For i know for sure i would not have ever made it this far without true love's support in my life.

Please never stop looking for someone to love and be loved by! To stay in shape loving, practise loving yourself, and anyone else willing to be loved, as this will help finding the one with your name written on their heart.

Tomorrow we hope to celebrate 43 years of culivating true love between each other.

@Blackcloud Hello lovely how are you? Are you out in the city? I’m glad you did write the email to the counsellor. This will help them know what you would like to work through. It takes a lot of guts so I’m proud of you for doing that.

It is hard to live with a disability because the world makes it challenging. You are a completely capable person. You’re smart and loving and express yourself so well. You are a very valued member of this community. Don’t feel bad because you are amazing. You can and will achieve amazing things in your life. You already are. Living independently, studying and being a huge support here to people. You have many strengths.

Sending you lots of love and hugs sweet.
