@Shaz51 I used to teach and research Politics including a kittle bit of Aussie Politics so I’m a news and current affairs addict.
I watch the ABC all the time. Like some BBC dramas like After Paradise.
Also love AFL footy. Crazy Adelaide Crows supporter. Men’s and Women’s but the Men’s is more exciting though the Women have improved a bit. Miss footy in off season. Used to play soccer and cricket so they’re ok. Like the Matildas soccer team. If I can stay awake I watch them play. Prone to nodding off. Go to bed early most nights.
Haven’t explored you tube much and the only streaming service I have is kayo. My TV is ancient and basic. Need a new VCR and DVD player (I have lots of videos and DVDs, but can’t find player anywhere. Mine is kaput.
Oh well. Listen to the radio a lot too.

hey @Till23 pickleball sounds interesting, don't think i've ever played it before! is it similar to tennis?
@Kashmina ooo that sounds like a big role, how exciting!! what made you want to volunteer in that role? great to know your friend's mum is out of the hospital, hope you have a lovely visit! this weekend i might head to the shops with my sister, we're trying to get our christmas shopping done - time seems to be flying by so fast!
@GezzaP that's frustrating about the roller shutters, got my fingers crossed it gets done tomorrow!! oh no, sucks about the bills too. hoping things work out for the better! i'm going to try finish off my christmas shopping this weekend, hopefully i can find some decent yet cheap gifts!

Hey @rav3n I am part of an organisation that needs people to engage more with roles such as this so I thought I would give it a go. I have a bookkeeping background so that helps. I am nervous though. My friends mum hip seized up and she couldnt move, she has had a replacement a few years ago. It doesnt sound very pleasant for her.
Time is flying fast so quickly. I must remember to limit my time in the shops. I do not like shopping at this time of the year!

it definitely sounds like a good opportunity! @Kashmina new roles are always a lil nerve-wracking to jump into, but i get the feeling you're going to do a great job 😊
a hip replacement does sound quite intense, i hope she's able to take it easy and feel better soon!
i'm not a fan of shopping around this time either - i'm trying to set a budget for gifts... hopefully i don't go over it haha.
