SUNDAY FUNDAY

SUNDAY FUNDAY

It's Friday, which means it's the weekend! What are you up to? Whatever you're doing, share it with us on Sunday Funday.

I'm hoping we can get a little creative and share photos, poems, pictures, or even just a post - whatever you like! Anything that you feel represents how you spent your time over the weekend, and then on Sunday share it with us here.

I'll aim to take photos of my weekend activities and share them with you.

Looking forward to 'seeing' and hearing about your weekend.

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

Ahh, @Former-Member....You are lovely.

Yes, us Forum Frequents or......as @NikNik likes calling us and I have named us...Forum Formites....lol lol

I've been fighting tired ness and you know, because of the amazing wonderful support I get from here.......I've been .......owning it more.

I had my darling friend and neighbour over for a hour or two and then, ran into the centre of the town I live in and got my husband stuff.

I've started a crocheted bag which without sounding.....showoffy....looks pretty cute.....

then.this is exciting,cleaned the flat!!

My husband; bless his little heart, bought me a lemon and lime tree for the back and is potting me herbs. He is getting a hige thrill from this. EVery 5 minutes, he is calling me outside to inspect the new buds coming out.

Hi All! Happy Sunday Funday!!!

How is everyones weekend?

I am feeling a little tired as I braved the crowds to see Melbourne's White Night spectacular for a couple of hours last night. It is amazing what some artists can do, what do you think? pics

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

Lol @PeppiPatty dont underestimate the number of endorphins released from having cleaned your home! there is something about seeing the immediate results of cleaning that some of us (perhaps odd?) people love 🙂

Its awesome to hear that you are feeling supported and empowered by the forum (and your own actions! as you are the one who has been brave enough to put yourself out there and genuinely reflect and grow)

hopefully your bag is still going well! (you may be finished? but it it were me it would take a year to do...) haha

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

busy day here, been to work to pick up a few things, clean and feed the class pets and say hello to the school goats! Then cleaned the car, just finished vacuuming and mopping the floors, now having a coffee summonng the motivation to get ready to go to the park for the kids to have a ride/scoot, then need to come home to do some cooking for the week ahead. But still need to mark a pile of english and maths books- with some positive emotion so that my comments are encouraging lol!

id rather just go back to bed though.

Hey @Fancy_Pants

It's so nice to see you...And

My friend.......

@Former-Member

How cool is this....(sigh)

Yes, well, today we are going to see my son, the youngest one. He is chopping and changing whether he wants to move in with us.......He is a very cool person.....we might not be cool enough fir him but AND we are parents..........(lol lol)

So proudof you @Former-Member........I always find Sunday the day to clean the home.....no wonder @Fancy_Pants .dont you work on Sundays?? Thanks for the compliment @Fancy_Pants

I was thinking that I want to reprint all my messages on my printer to see my own growth because......it is hard to think about it.......it doesnt SHOW if you know what I mean.

But @Former-Member is the one who should be commended the most.......Golly, look at her....

I saw on Sane on facebook that you are talking about people spending times in mental ill health and using illegal substances. Well, this is something that my extremely intelligent and interesting husband is very focused on speaking about. :0)

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

School goats? @Former-Member? Wow very busy, but productive! I hope you also make some time for yourself too? at least when the kids go to bed

Haha @PeppiPatty yes i do... but self care for me sometimes means doing social stuff even if I cant be bothered after work or if it means I am a little more tired the next day

Do you mean printing all of your positive feedback @PeppiPatty? Or all of your posts in general? I can definitely see bonuses to both ie a) a wall of genuine feedback reflecting your growth for when you feel less strong or b) visual demonstration of how far you have come / posts have changed. But with the last one, and this is purely from my own perspective I would be a little concerned that it may trigger me ie anxieties/ painful memories/ etc

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

Dear @Fancy_Pants yeah, Im okay on the triggering.

I'm middle aged and have done some very weird things in my life which mean something to me each and every one!!

ACtually, I've been noticing that I have an effect on some people. Not many....So I've bought some books which Ille talk about when I get them. I'm still reading Gabor Mate which is a very good read.

I mean, in the past, I would say things or write things for other people but my most energy goes on my husband and me now.

It's just a personal thing. When I write; I want to reprint my own messages, I just mean, for just me to see if there is a 'journey,' happening in my ownself. Like putting them into a diary.

I wrote an assignment on the Ego in my Psychotherapy class and I got a huge compliment on the lecturer wrote that she could see something in me change and my goal is to let go of ego, let go of ego. But it's a personal journey.....it's not for everyone.

So I guess one major empahsis for me is.....Sane forums have let me realise what is the most important things in my life.

xx

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

Hi all. Sorry, I've been AWOL for a bit. So busy with work and the farm.

I've had a few bad days, but nothing too major. I'm pestering my PDoc to let me taper down one of my meds... but she wants to wait another month or so as she's concerned I'll struggle during winter. But I had a week where I kept forgetting to take the tablets properly (keep forgetting to break on tablet in half) so I've sorta cut back on them already. It's been a week or more, and I think I'm fine... but I'm not got taper back anymore unless the PDoc agrees.

Have had some work problems, but nothing too bad. I made it through a meeting with minimal tears and managed to actually speak throughout it!!! Which seems minor, but speaking in these meetings was actually a first.

Broke up with my psychologist on Thursday. That was weird. Got to the end of the session, he reminded me that my MHP has run out. Asked if I wanted to keep going, how I felt... said it was getting confusing between him and PDoc. So he said okie doke. You can come see me whenever you want. It wasn't till I got hime that it really clicked. But I'm sorta relieved. It really was getting confusing keeping track of what I said to who etc.

Sorry for the long post....
How is everyone??

So......is it goodbye to the Psychologist? Golly gosh......

Re: SUNDAY FUNDAY

@Crazy_Bug_Lady I have heard that a few people keep both psychologist and Psychiatrist on board. It would be hard to keep track of both. In my younger years I saw a psychiatrist as overwhelmed by family history but not prescribed meds. Later on I started seeing psychologists as I wanted to focus on life issues rather than sickness .. as a more positive approach for the children.

Glad that you are feeling a bit more in control of your decisions and your life.

Sometimes it has taken a while and then I realise that I havent needed to see any one for a year or 2

You put in heaps of work. Its a bonus when we hear from you.

cheers Apple
