All Things Sport...

All Things Sport...

There are many threads dedicated to sharing experiences - good times and not so good - so I thought I would start a thread for those on here who love their sport. For me - and I suspect for some others - sport is a good distraction as it often blocks out the more negative emotions and helps to avoid triggers that many other things in 'life' so often seem to do.

This thread can also be a place where like-minded (and not so like-minded people @utopia @Former-Member @Zoe7 lol) can 'discuss/debate' their respective competitions in their preferred sport(s).

For those that are definitely NOT into sport @Phoenix_Rising for example - avoid this thread at all costs - whoops just tagged you in..........hahaha!!!!!

Evening @MDT @Zoe7 @Former-Member

Just a quick woohoo to our womens cricket team for winning another T20 world cup!!!!!

Awesome effort by every player. I thought India was going to give us a run for our money but in the end was an easy win by the Aussies. So very proud of them!!!!

P.S. Not looking forward to returning to work tomorrow after a week off. My stress and anxiety levels are sky rocketing right now, but you got to do what you got to do sadly.

Anyway I am heading off to bed very soon as I have an early start tomorrow which is going to be hard to handle after sleeping in all this time lol. So I will catch up with you all some other time.

Take care and keep smiling

Re: All Things Sport...

Nah I did not have anything on this weekend @Zoe7

My best mate who I went to Melbourne with and I were going to catch up for our combined birthdays (hers is tomorrow 10th) but she got a bad headcold on Friday so I said I will stay away and we can catch up next time. We all joked with her that the weekend was too much for her to handle and that she caught the virus. Should not joke about it but it was bad timing for her not to get heckled lol.

Great win by our girls @Scarecrowe Healy played so well then Mooney continued on when she got out. Our bowlers did a wonderful job too but it was all set up by healy and Mooney 👍 I think the total was overwhelming for India and they just could not play their own game with such a high total to chase.

A bugger about your friend but probably a good idea to stay away from someone that is sick ...major virus going around or not. I personally think people are going stupid with this virus - take the necessary precautions as with any other virus but the ridiculous stocking up of some items is just madness.

The world has gone mad with this over buying agreed @Zoe7

Women fighting in supermarkets over toilet paper....oh dear. I don't think behaviour like that is necessary.

I survived my first day back at work....just.

Well done on surviving you first day back at work @Scarecrowe 👍😁

I totally agree with you on those fighting for toilet paper - just ridiculous behaviour - some people need to have a good look at themselves - grr!
