Something’s not right

what else?

what else?

so.. just having this string of bad luck at the moment!

Son managed to somehow tip the printer off the back of the desk this week... had to replace as i use it most nights getting ready for work next day... I managed to hurt my arm at work in some weird way, Now tried to do the mowing and didnt see one of the kids knee pads and the elastic got caught in the blades and the engine went BANG 😞 what next? There's other stuff but not really able to say it all. Scared to do anything else lol! So.. guess this will expedite the process to finding a gardener for now.

That does sound like a string of bad luck @Former-Member. I hope nothing else happens and your luck changes soon. Sending you gentle hugs x

Re: what else?

hello @Former-Member

life seems to behave in that way at times.

there should be consequences for such behaviour, we have consequences.

Just when you feel that you are starting to get some energy, or make some headway, boom something happens.

One thing we can handle, more than one - expectations too high there.

I found if I let go of the struggle even though nothing changed, I was able to breathe.

Not sure if that is of any help, or even if any of the above makes sense.

I am actually letting go at the moment. Going into hospital on Tuesday. Huge for me. Have ambivalent feelings because some of the staff are not cut out for mental health in my mind.

I am telling myself to just go there with an open mind, one day at a time and remember that I am in there for me so I have to allow that. not easy!

Thinking of you

still smiling about motivation and hope

ps I have lost my smile today if you come across someone wearing it can you ask them to give it back please xxxxx

Re: what else?

@Former-Memberyou know they say troubles come in 3s. Let me assure you that I know exactly how you feel...not game to do anything.lol

Boxing day, our bathroom had to be ripped out as it had sprung a major leak. We were without it for 3weeks.

Next I scraped another car parking and had to claim insurance.

And last Sunday I came down stairs only to find myself standing in ankle deep water. The hot water system had quit.

That's my 3 for the moment I hope. You find that gardener, and I will keep renovating our house..ha ha. Luckily I do have a tradie bro-in-law who keeps fixing these dilemmas.

@Former-Member have found your smile and am posting it back to you, if you lose it again I'll ahare mine. Take care in hospital. Remember that you are ther for you so use your time to make positive steps. I might be fatigued but will try to put some steps into place as you suggested.

Thankyou for taking your time to worry about me.

@Former-Member What a cr*p week! Take it easy today - breathe - and relax. Leave all that other 'stuff' in a box for now - close the lid and put it in the cupboard Now is a great time to search for a gardener lol Thinking of you

@Former-Member You can borrow this smile until you find your own again

my gosh three major disasters baileyboy

hope you claimed on your insurance for damage caused by burst pipe and separate damage caused by hot water system - should come under damage caused by escape of liquid or similar wording

head not working very well today, have just found out we have an open inspection tomorrow and then one on monday. typical agent dont worry too much your place always looks lovely. He doesnt realise the inherent insect interbreeding that occurs 24/7. We have 3 metre ceilings as well.constant webs swaying, continually being woven. oh dont even want to think about it. might go and get my book and hide in that.

lunch with younger son in city as well tomorrow for his birthday. that i am looking forward to.

be kind to yourselves and stay safe xxx

Re: what else?

@Former-Memberjust like to say a little practice with your smile will go a long way.

Thanks for the insurance tip, however we have none. 3 yrs ago next door was set fire to and we received damage. In the 10 months we were out of our house we were broken into 7 times and everything, I mean everthing, right down to our beds and sentimental collections were stolen or trashed. I had about 50 clowns, none left except for a tattoo on my arm. They really couldn't take that. Hence had to claim on our insurance 5 times and now noone will insure us...uninsurable.

Yep, great neighbourhood, we live in...is improving sort of. Police helped..ha..not one bit. Apparently we were at fault even though it was our neighbour who had the problem. There i was at 7 in the morn banging on his door to drag himout of his home away from the fire. Needless to say, my reactions to smoke, especially faulty smoke alarms going off in the middle of the night used to be qite excessive.

Anyway Mohill take care and have a lovely day with your son tomorrow.

Re: what else?

It is one thing to have to manage all that stuff @Former-Member... and find and pay and organise solutions ... but dont take random events personally in a bad way.

Use planning and prioritisation and liberal self care.
