@heartathome lol, I'm the same, chatting in different threads and sometimes I'll forget what I said to whom!
Yes I have been struggling with motivation ever since I moved back home. I'd been sharing with ex friend for 8 years and she then decided I was surplus to requirements when the lease was up on the rental we were in. I have my own house that I had my brother renting while I was away. Unfortunately he didn't maintain the house or tell me when repairs were required so it was depressing to see what had happened to it. It's livable but my ensuite needs a plumber as the toilet and shower flood - I found out when I moved back in 😡
So the poor condition of my house, plus a toxic work environment where I was bullied into resigning, then the next job I had let me go with no explanation why last August and haven't been working since. From then on I found it difficult to really do anything and the guilt I feel exacerbated my anxiety. I'm doing better now and have more good days than before but it's still hard some days. The warm weather helps and I make myself pick my brother up from work 3 days a week. It's good to do as I am friends with some of his workmates and I at least get out of the house to socialise.
I do know that my lack of motivation is part of my depression so I understand how your son feels.
I'd like to find part time work to satisfy centrelink and also to get out and do something however my age (56) is against me. I'm praying something comes up soon 🙏
Money. It's always about money isn't it. Mental health doesn't appear to be as important as other things the government likes to throw money at instead...
