Well done to you @Blackcloud ! You can start off small and build up on hours, if you want. I've given my volunteer jobs too many hours before and had to pull back. I can only give them a couple of hours at this stage. They should be grateful for whatever time you can give them! I'm so proud of you! 💚

I'd love to try to achieve this certification. Though I struggle with assignments. Is there support to help one qualify. As I feel life experience would definitely get me x the line. Congratulations that would be extremely rewarding. Bless you 🙏

@heartathome Good morning. How are you doing?

It sounds like it was a hard day yesterday with the hub closing. I’m glad that there was a bbq to celebrate the achievements of the hub. Will there be a new wellbeing local?

How is your volunteer shift at Vinnies? I hope it’s going well and you are getting some time to chat and connect with people. Yes Vinnies have become expensive as have Salvation Army. On a low income it’s hard to afford things. Well done on passing that on.

Hi @Cuddlebear the shift went ok even though I didn’t really feel like doing it, but I’ve somehow or somewhat managed to.

Also been quite a frustrating morning because my nearby train station is closed & had to take a 13 min walk to a tram stop to catch a tram. I’ve never took the tram here before I moved. I didn’t bother finding bus replacements cause who knows how many minutes the buses will come & have never caught one here.

so it’s been quite frustrating cause my mum was gonna give me the food but we couldn’t so I went home

@Blackcloud That’s sucks there’s bus replacements. I’m sorry you couldn’t get to your mum though. Will you be able to do it later or tomorrow?

well done in doing your shift. I know it hasn’t been easy but I’m proud you’ve persevered and are able to help people.

@Cuddlebear my mum said she asked the people working for the trains when that train station would open again and they said Monday, so…I’ll probably have to go and pick it up on Monday.

Now I don’t know what to really eat.

thank you ❤️

@ENKELI

I remember you telling me about your ex-friend now. You said, 'the guilt I feel exacerbated my anxiety'. Why do you feel guilt for? Nothing you said should find you guilty of anything!

Can you get a foot in a door by volunteering? Can you tell me what you were doing before?

I remember my elderly dad had to paint houses after the business he worked for closed down. He was still paying off the little fibro house when his work finished.

Mental health was never talked about when I grew up, unless they were thought to be 'crazy'. That included me!

I struggle with motivation when it comes to looking after myself. I feel for both you and my son because depression is no fun!

I think it's good how Peer workers and people with a lived/ living experience are being used in mental health. That's been a long time coming! I hope you're day is okay! 💜

Hi @Cuddlebear

Just sat down after a busy morning. Took my mum up the street, went and did some errands, picked up son from friends house, did some washing and got a big pile of ironing done too.

Happy now that it is all done. Hoping for a quiet afternoon of not doing much.

How is your day going?
