@Taali Made me laugh with that last Wake Up song - I don't do well with upbeat high-pitch songs so it definitely put my brain into alert-mode! 😆

As opposed to @DownMoreThanUp 's track that when I flicked through it had a flute (?) in one section which was quite peaceful indeed - but perhaps it could lull me to sleep instead?

I'm not a big music person, but I've been finding it can help me regulate my emotions at time if I hit upon the "right" song. I did start creating emotion-theme playlists earlier this year so that I can try to get the right songs depending on what I need/feel. I often like songs for their lyrics, but also need the beat & pitch to match my current state.

I think right now my mind wants quiet. I sat down outside at a cafe, but it's noiser with nearby tables than I expected. I'd prefer to just be listening to the bird and the occasional traffic. Maybe I will need to put in music to block out the chatter!

Yes i do relate to that. i also have my music rated according to my moods. When down i like quiet, peaceful yet uplifting music with meaningful lyrics. When angry i go heavy metal big time. When i get anxious back to quiet music again but then seeking after songs that resonate with such emotions.

i love Jacob Lee, an Australian song writer and singer. His music style is a little boring but his lyrics rock the boat every time. He really understands mental health mixing personal issues. i love that.
