@Chasingsunsets I went with my brother and his partner who have both done the hike before - it's a marked trail which sometimes meant a clear trail and other times it was one arrow pointing the way in a large area...you just had to find the arrow first haha. Luckily we didn't get lost but there were a few times when we had to stop and make sure we had gone the right way

Nice @Shaz51! It’s also a big job being a plant and flower mum 😅 since I have now realised hehe.

@JynxI loved reading about your succulents! So cool you can just get cuttings and re plant that’s awesome!!

I like plants that need little work 😆, still love that you have a raspberry bush haha

@Ru-bee Thats so awesome re your hike! How long was it? Would you do it again lol?
oh I am not very good with directions haha, might need to take an epirb with me if I went on something like that lol and bring someone who is good with directions 😆

@Chasingsunsets it was 4 days, 3 nights. I thiiiiink I prefer 3 day hikes better because you don't have to carry as much food and clothes ect, so your pack can just be that bit lighter, but I would still do it again. Already starting to think about where my next hike might be! 😅

Good afternoon @Shaz51 @Ru-bee @Blackcloud @heartathome @Chasingsunsets @DogMan79 @Cuddlebear @Jynx @Faith-and-Hope @rav3n @tyme @LostAngel and everyone here this Tuesday afternoon. I hope your day is going well for you.

@Shaz51 @Ru-bee Having a relaxing afternoon sounds great- a perfect self care treatment! The hike sounded like fun @Ru-bee and I’m glad you enjoyed it.

@Blackcloud I hope you sort out your volunteer issue soon. Good luck with it!

@LostAngel @Cuddlebear @DogMan79 Great work on getting through your issues and being productive.
@Chasingsunsets @Faith-and-Hope Hello again! Thanks for the updates and tagging me- very much appreciated!

As for me, things have been stressful this past weekend and continuing on into yesterday and today with carer/housemate duties and illnesses along with organising things for the 2 moves coming up in the next 2 weeks. My tolerance levels are being tested so I’m trying to work on that by doing self care activities such as knitting and crochet to help me manage my stress levels and overall mental health. I’ve spent the morning knitting and packing up my wool collection to take to my new student accommodation and I’ve eaten lunch so I’m okay at the moment. Life is just stressful and chaotic at the moment but in 3 weeks time- Christmas week- things should improve once I’m out of my current rental. I’m thinking about booking a holiday in early February to a place near the water such as a river or beach to relax and celebrate getting through this stressful period and as a reward for all of this. I’ve just got to check out the finances first! I did watch the 2 Sister Act movies on Saturday night on tv which I really enjoyed and I also watched the V8 Supercars racing on both Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

Time to go and have a relaxing cup of tea!

Take care!

@Ru-bee The last time I went hiking was back when I was in year 9 during our school camp. However, everyone (except for the teachers obviously) HATED IT (myself included)!

But now that I’m an adult and am no longer at school lol, I think it might be nice if I can try and go hiking again and see if that changes my mind compared to how I first felt when we first did it back in year 9.

I believe hiking is a really good exercise!

Yeah I think hiking in a school group would be really hard @Blackcloud and it sounds like it was! Maybe you could try a day hike to see if you enjoy it? Sometimes it's more enjoyable when we're able to call the shots rather than being forced to do an activity and stick to someone else's schedule
