Trying hard to wind down, and will be keeping the input down for a bit i reckon until i balance out a bit.

Better not now otherwise i be out of bed again in no time having to visit the toilet. (when i wake up i'll join for a cuppa.)

Hi @Shaz51 @Dimity @DownMoreThanUp @rav3n @Chasingsunsets @Ru-bee @Jynx @tyme @RiverSeal and others here this Thursday afternoon. I hope you’re having a great day!

@Shaz51 How is your cold going? Are you feeling any better?

Things have been very stressful the past week which is why I haven’t been on the forums. Everything from dramas with my housemate to not sleeping properly due to stress and general life stuff, including organising stuff for the move. This morning I have spent time doing quotes for removalists which I’m finding to be very wide from the price ranges quoted, including a charge of nearly $600 just for fuel and a call out fee with no actual work done. I’m feeling very stressed and anxious about the move and am looking forward to being out of our current house by 23 December. We have vcat hearing scheduled at long last on 11 December with our silly property manager about rent arrears but we have lined up legal support for ourselves to help us handle this. We are hoping to get 2 weeks to move out but I’m hoping everything will be done by 20/12 as I’m over this whole thing. I’ve been going through my bedroom with boxes and bags I put in there when we moved in back in December last year and I’m amazed at all of the silly things I packed to move last year - lots of things I’d consider irrelevant or rubbish now that I’ve gone through it. Add to this all of the wool I’ve found- won’t need to purchase anymore for at least 12 months!- which I’ll be taking to my new uni accommodation (a separate move to happen as most of our stuff is going into storage as it can’t fit in uni accommodation). The past week has been me watching the cricket on tv and knitting a kids jumper - my new obsession to help me deal with my stress and anxiety issues because the whole moving issues- with me completing my knitted jumper for myself using Bendigo woollen Mills wool on Monday afternoon which fits me perfectly. At least I’ll have a new jumper to wear to uni next year which is a good thing along with several others I’m still to finish! I’ve also just finished reading an ebook I borrowed from the library this morning before it was due to be returned which I really enjoyed and helped me be distracted for a while. I think it’s the first book I’ve actually read and finished this year which is a massive achievement for me and one I’m proud of!

Time to go and get a cup of tea! Enjoy the rest of your day!

Take care!

Hi @Judi9877 sorry to hear it's been a really rough week for you. *safe hugs*. Moving again after 12 months - you have my empathy there! I moved earlier this year and it was soo exhausting packing everything 😓. I hope the new accommodation is better (and cheaper too if rent prices are a struggle) - will hopefully be nice to be in a new place for Xmas. Keep the xmas decorations in their own box so you can unpack them first is my tip for a more positive/festive feel 😅. I try to downsize when moving also, and can often get rid of a lot of things. But I am a very sentimental person, so I keep so many things due to "but I remember getting that at..." or for cards with messages. But then I also grew up with the mindset of "it might come in handy later" -- and that one is SOO hard to break! Especially as I do like to reuse and recycle or on-gift things to be a bit better environmentally.

I can't recall what you are studying at uni. Are you able/comfortable to say? (Its OK if not though).

@AlwaysMyself Anything that I slightly dislike, goes to the Op Shop. Like Green towels.

I need a nap.
