Hello @Ru-bee @ENKELI @rav3n @AlwaysMyself @Shaz51 @GezzaP and others here this Thursday afternoon. I hope your day has been going well for you!
The hiking sounds interesting @Ru-bee. Are you going interstate or staying local? There’s some great hiking tracks in the Cradle Mountain National park in Tassie - I was there in 2019 and walked the short track to Dove Lake - and the Dandenong Ranges here in Victoria also have some pretty tracks. I’m not a hiking person but admire people that do it, especially the photos some people take. There’s also the Overland Track in Tassie which is 7 days I believe that some people do but it’s pretty popular and you have to book in advance to do it.
I’ve just had lunch and am waiting on my housemate to return from here 5 days away - partly on respite and also on an NDIS participant workshop. I’ve spent the week knitting beanies, crocheting granny squares, cross stitching and relaxing. I’m feeling stressed and anxious about my impending move to a new area where my uni will be for next year and all the problems my property manager has caused, including going to VCAT - no date scheduled just yet but the lease ends in 2.5 weeks - so I’ve got that stuff to deal with. Add to my housemate having mental health and physical issues and you could say that life’s just peachy - not!- in my life right now! Luckily I’ve got the support of a carer peer worker to discuss all things carer related and that’s been very good and helpful for me. I know this stress and problems are temporary and will end soon but it’s just annoying right now being anxious and concerned over things that won’t matter soon. I’m looking forward to having the Christmas break in my new apartment so I can spend the break watching cricket, tennis, knitting and diamond dotting and spending the time on the forums away from all the hassles I’ve had recently.
Later today, I’m planning to watch the women’s big bash cricket on tv - Hobart Hurricanes are playing at 3:30pm - and chilling out.
Take care!
