@Shaz51 love the flowers. I hope today has been kind towards you 💖

@GezzaP I hope you are able to rest up and get some snooze in. It’s hard when the mind is super active. The heat also doesn’t help.

Hypomania encourages impulsive behaviour, it’s tricky. I’ve gotten the shopping bug myself on a number of occasions. Before I was paying for my own stuff, I would get bank transfers from my dad, he wouldn’t be happy. I now pay for my own stuff and have for a long time, but I don’t get much deposited in my bank account with Job Seeker

@heartathome I’m so glad you’ve been invited to your partners sister place for lunch. That is so good and it’s so lovely to have that company.

I’ll be alone Xmas. 😞 Hopefully there might be some folks on forums who I could chat to.

I'm sorry that you're going to be alone on Christmas day @Cuddlebear . I don't think anyone should be alone unless they want to be. My friend who's an introvert doesn't mind being by herself at all. Mind you, she does have two dogs and a cat for company. I don't even want to say Merry Christmas! I think there's going to be a few people on here on the day.

Are you still feeling like sh**? Have you noticed any improvement physically or mentally over the last few months? 💛

@creative_writer I inherited the shopping bug from my mother.

I have cataracts that need doing. If I can get this done for free reasonably quickly in the public system I will, but may have to go private.

My psychiatrist only works in the private system for hospital stays so I have private cover which I can’t really afford but the waiting in the public system is so bad and mental health services are poor as you probably know.

i have to explore this more when I have sorted out my current financial mess which I’m doing steadily each day.

I want to redo the garden too as I’m not happy with it.

Re: Fancy a cuppa , Connect now 2

I have had a difficult day @rav3n . Had to fill in two forms this morning which I hate doing. Then more work on sorting out my financial mess that I created when hypomanic. I need a plan to stop this spiral of spending. Was exhausted by this and very hungry. Too tired to cook like I usually do at lunch time usually my main meal for the day.

At least it was cool and cloudy early and I had a pleasant walk. I also did my yoga and physio. I also did my Spanish lessons. I’m tired but don’t wan’t to sleep in the day time.

I can relate to the spending when manic @GezzaP I'm sorry that you've had a difficult day working on it! You achieved a lot this morning and I'm sure you've done a bit on the financial mess!

I once spent $4000, mainly on taxis. I was manic in hospital at the time as well! I was so angry with myself when I came down! What a mess! :face_with_rolling_eyes:

A plan is a great idea. 🙂 Have you got any ideas of how that would work.

@GezzaP neither of my parents have bipolar, it skipped my mum. The closest relative I have is a second degree relative.

I hope you are able to get the contaracts sorted.

It’s hard when private health is so expensive. I get Medicare rebates for when I see my psychiatrist privately. My psych was talking about considering a private hospital stay. The idea seems pretty daunting, I think she wants me to have a full medication review without becoming at risk. Deep depression is still persisting, I’m not at imminent risk but it’s hard. I’m coping in unhealthy ways to cope with my really heavy thoughts. The risk is higher when I’m in a mixed state, I’m not currently in that mood state, thankfully.

It sounds like you’ve had a productive day despite not feeling great
