ITS GARDEN TIME 🌿

ITS GARDEN TIME 🌿

Spring has well and truly sprung in our pocket of the world.
Time to get the garden looking springy

Today our veggie patches are getting a decent fill with compost and a redo, ready for the tommies which is our biggest grower and of course our zucs, cucumbers, and all the fun things

At one point over the summer last year we were picking tomatos 10 a day.

The Rural garden supply loves to see me!!

Whats everyone planting

Oh wow @DownMoreThanUp that’s hectic about the mother duck and her ducklings!! Do you think she’s a young mum or been brought up in captivity and released so doesn’t know the risks of not looking after her babies I wonder, or just missed the memo lol.

very interesting however 17!!! Not sure I could manage 17! Nor 10!! lol. I wonder how many she has now! I hope she has at least one she can keep for her sake!! Those ducklings are so cute! Does the Dad stay around to help too or nah?

was that your pic of the crow with one of the ducklings? Gah so said but nature is nature right.

oh I may have missed your post I didn’t realise your mother geese the first one that had the two goslings - she lost them? What happened to them, eaten?

do you still have the other goslings that your wife brought with the other two geese?

it will be interesting if your other female ends up laying some eggs!!

Haha @AlwaysMyself i think watering the indoor plants count 😂. I’m quite proud mine are still living lol.

On my walk today I found some flowers and thought of you all so took some pics 😊

Re: ITS GARDEN TIME 🌿

@Shaz51 Yes it was. i could not fit it on the gif file, but a little further on in the original video we can see the snake visibly scoop up water with its head before it disappears under the deck.

Seeing it climb up the waterfall look really neat. Although we were both surprised the stream of water did not wash it into the pond below. It looks like it has grown somewhat since last year when i met it, for the first time, sleeping on the steps of our deck.

So far the snake has stayed out of sight, and has not caused us any trouble. The good thing is that the mouse population around this part of our home is sure much lower than last year, for i have not seen any mouse for months now.

Sorry support button on the blink

Wow @DownMoreThanUp i am so glad it is in your yard not mine!!! 🤣🤣

It is a pretty snake, but i am still petrified of wild ones so whilst i value and appreciate them and their prettiness, i am also firmly "nope nope nope" at the idea of my backyard with my dogs and I 🤣. As long as they stay out of sight and away from me and my dogs we are all OK with them being invisible residents lol. We have a giant rat in our roofing, so maybe we do need a snake lol..

Hello

I love your garden

Is similar to mine yet different again naturally

I love random roaming rambling gardens

I experiment mostly and am filled with bliss when I see a new bud

I do not look forward to pruning time yet thrive on spring growth
