Psychology Assessment

Psychology Assessment

Does anybody know what Therapy Goals are? I can't get pass the initial Psychology Assessment in order to receive counselling without a therapy goal. An example I was given is "I would like to go to the gym but feel anxious about it". Doesn't work for me. Can you please list some therapy goals that have worked for you? Thanks.

Re: Psychology Assessment

hey @FearofUnknown welcome to the forums! lovely to meet you.

therapy goals are basically any goals you'd like to work on to improve your well-being. here are a few of mine:

  • working on my communication skills to improve my family relationships and reduce conflict
  • working on entering new environments and socialising (for my social anxiety)
  • working on my sleep habits and exercise
  • managing anxious thoughts and feelings

therapy goals can sometimes change along the way. i hope this helps you get started 😊
