Rolling with it

Rolling with it

I have explained to myself that my recovery started when the Black Dog returned.

So today dealing with my anxiety was looking to see what I was perceiving as a threat.

The is none, apart from the fact that it's raining and the logistics of getting the kids to school might be a bit harder then usually.

The anxiety is still there and I won't judge whether it's better or worse. But recovery starts with doing, and clocking up the little wins.

Movement is Medicine

Getting things done is Moving

Hopefully today you got some stuff done, and can give yourself A SOLID AND GENUINE CONGRATULATIONS for doing better than yesterday, and a SHAMELESS "I modelled healthy behaviours for my kid, not perfect, but healthy, and healthy is realistic - perfect is an illusion"

Have a good one.

Thanks for the kind words.
I have always tried to live by "things can still be ok, even when they aren't"

@jrn You are doing so well. The fact you did get the kids to school while experiencing anxiety is actually a magnificent effort.

I am usually at work by that ime, but I have taken the week off, due to this round of depression and anxiety. I think it's important for me to keep some kind of morning activity going. Thanks for the encouragement

Recovery is possible. Personal recovery is just making your life more meaningful and satisfying. This looks different for everyone. Just remember that recovery isn't linear. Not in a straight line forward. There will be backwards steps and that is ok. Just baby step it.

100% I have been here before and will probably be here again. It's what you make of the "good" times that help you through the bad times. I do have to be more proactive with my maintenance though :face_with_rolling_eyes:
