Re: Appetite

Hi @Former-Member,

Loss and change of appetite can be a symptom of depression and/or anxiety, and medication.

My understanding, and I'm no expert on this, is that anxiety can make your appetite decrease because of the stress that it can put your body under.

Have you spoken to your doctor about it?

Re: Appetite

Hello @Former-Member,

The stomach is often referred to as a second brain, so when I are experience anxiety the body is in fight/fright/freeze mode, it shuts off your digestive system so you can get away from dangers, so it's possible that the anxiety is causing a lack of apetite and then if you don't eat much you are probably going to get hungry at some stage because you need food for energy.

Sometimes you can try to eat smaller amounts of food so you won't get that hungry feeling but won't feel sick from eating too much, have you tried doing anything like that at all?

Lunar 🙂

Re: Appetite

It's really interesting how much the somach reflects where your mind is at, glad I could share that with you both @Former-Member @Former-Member 🙂

Keep us updated with how you go with those things, even smoothies/toast/crackers can be good for just putting something in your belly but won't be too much for it to digest.

If you put too much in there and your stomach is not digesting food because it's shut down and in danger mode, it will just make you feel sick because it is just sitting there. So small snacks are perfect, which is good for me because my favourite foods are dip with crackers haha 🙂
