What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share 🫶

Hi everyone! This is my first ever forum post so do hope it lands where it’s meant to 🤣

Most days, I like to find a highlight 😊. Usually, that means during a walk with my dog, I try to spot something different, something cool or something that brings me some happiness. Whether it’s something big or small, it doesn’t matter. A highlight can be anything!

I love taking photos and would really like to share and see what you've come across. Something that made you smile, sparked your interest, or simply caught your eye. For me, it’s all the little things that count on the hard days.

To start, I’d like to share these beautiful birds I came across today. They like to appear like branches of a tree or the tree itself. They are called Tawny Frogmouth’s. Has anyone else seen these types of birds? My pics below -(hopefully not too small to see two in the tree on the left pic).

Well i went to pick up my friend who had a brain tumour for lunch but she couldn't get out of bed.

So sad, but she almost said my name, which was fantastic!

It's been years since she even attempted to say a name.

So yoohoo!

@heartathome no honey, although Brisvegas is more well known, the locals call Midland (which is the main hub of the Swan Valley) Midvegas, hence the 'Vegas. I am in the Swan region which is east metro Perth.

I am close to the Swan Valley which is one of the worlds only wine regions within 25 minutes of a major city.

Your afternoon sounds lovely! I wonder what you planned for your picnic? Cheese and bickies? Haha @ENKELI and I always talk about a cheese board and ohh now I am remembering the cob loaf 🤤. Do you like cobs nala?

My day has been okay, got to sleep soon 😜. Go one way then the other atm 🤪. Ahhh @Taali still trying to get it together 😉😴 re sleeping, also love beautiful taali 🐶under the covers that made me laugh 🥰.

.. I had a dripping tap last few days in kitchen next to where I sit most of time. I I turned it on and off again carefully, it would stop. ok so today it got worse and worse. had to replace washer, ie go and turn water off, get tap apart, get remains of old washer out and put new one in. Done.

Fantastic @TAB wish I was handy like that 🤣🤭. Nothing worse than a leaking tap! Reminds me of my toliet water pipe @MissGremlin 🤭 what a debacle, took ages for my landlord to fix I had to end up turning the water off at the mains lol. The other thing I wish I could fix are engine coils 🙊. Driving an auto when one of them stop working is quite an experience, like driving a manual that feels like it’s going to stall the whole way to the mechanics 🤣. Have never been so glad to reach the mechanics to be honest lol. 🚗💨
