What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share 🫶

What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share 🫶

Hi everyone! This is my first ever forum post so do hope it lands where it’s meant to 🤣

Most days, I like to find a highlight 😊. Usually, that means during a walk with my dog, I try to spot something different, something cool or something that brings me some happiness. Whether it’s something big or small, it doesn’t matter. A highlight can be anything!

I love taking photos and would really like to share and see what you've come across. Something that made you smile, sparked your interest, or simply caught your eye. For me, it’s all the little things that count on the hard days.

To start, I’d like to share these beautiful birds I came across today. They like to appear like branches of a tree or the tree itself. They are called Tawny Frogmouth’s. Has anyone else seen these types of birds? My pics below -(hopefully not too small to see two in the tree on the left pic).

What have you seen today? ☀️💛🙏

Yes, it was my brother-in-law who collapsed

He's really not well

Has COPD and is not expected to be with us much longer

Very difficult for my sister

Especially as her health is not going well

Possibly due to stress

Thanks for thinking of us

@Taali That is such bad news. I honestly am so sorry to hear this is happening. I can’t even imagine the amount of stress on your sister and everyone.

It is so hard when someone you love is terminally unwell. I’m here for you if you need to talk or just need distraction.

You are such a kind soul and I do care about how you are and how your family are doing too.

@Chasingsunsets a 3 yr old party, ooh what fun!

I don't have anything on for the weekend, it's my besties' birthday Sunday so I will check with her what she is doing. She is probably catching up with her other friends. Need to wrap her present and write in a card for her lol.

The weather is cold and grey, just because I wanted to spend some time in the garden.

I love the picture of your frog friend, they are just so beautiful.

My ideal job would be something that doesn't include having to answer the phone! Anything data entry based, records information.

I hope you have a lovely weekend xoxo

@Cuddlebear hi sweetheart, how are you managing? It's a bleak day here in the 'vegas, 15 degrees but feels like 11. Rugged up and watching TV...well, it's on but I am reading and thinking about what to cook for dinner.

Big hugs darling heart xo

@ENKELI Hello beautiful! I love how we all call it “Vegas”. That’s quite chilly for those parts of the country. Being rugged up soubds like a very good idea. Sometimes it’s good having tv on as background noise and you might even occasionally look up see what’s going on. Are you reading a recipe book? Sounds like weather maybe for some comfort type food.

It’s cold in my part of Victoria. I’ve been unwell and still in my pj and in bed. Just been in the forums a bit today.

@Cuddlebear lol no it's not a recipe book! It's a book called Never to be Released about the worst killers in Australia. I am a true crime fan.

Apologies, I am not in Brisvegas. Where I am in the Swan Valley (moderators this is a region not a suburb) the suburb I am in is also nicknamed ***vegas by residents. Or the New Dalkeith.

Dalkeith is a very wealthy suburb, known for Jutland Pde where Alan Bond lived, whereas my suburb "The New Dalkeith" is lower middle class.
