What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share 🫶

What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share 🫶

Hi everyone! This is my first ever forum post so do hope it lands where it’s meant to 🤣

Most days, I like to find a highlight 😊. Usually, that means during a walk with my dog, I try to spot something different, something cool or something that brings me some happiness. Whether it’s something big or small, it doesn’t matter. A highlight can be anything!

I love taking photos and would really like to share and see what you've come across. Something that made you smile, sparked your interest, or simply caught your eye. For me, it’s all the little things that count on the hard days.

To start, I’d like to share these beautiful birds I came across today. They like to appear like branches of a tree or the tree itself. They are called Tawny Frogmouth’s. Has anyone else seen these types of birds? My pics below -(hopefully not too small to see two in the tree on the left pic).

What have you seen today? ☀️💛🙏

@Chasingsunsets
By chance are you an instant coffee drinker? Not bottom of the barrel instant but like mid range quality?

Hi @Chasingsunsets I just took a nap more than half an hour ago & attended another placement role-play workshop yesterday. I also have one that was scheduled today at 3:30pm but I decided not to join and give myself a bit of a break from attending these role play workshops haha. I’ve already attended 6 of them so far & I’ve found them great and helpful in terms of improving your microskills as a digital crisis supporter, especially since I’m still on placement.

Other than that, I was also thinking about the postgraduate degrees I plan on taking after I finish my bachelors degree probably by the end of 2028 (because I choose to do 2 units per trimester instead of 3 units). So if I don’t get the required grades that meet the entry requirements for an honours degree, then there’s other options I can get into such as the Graduate Certificate in Autism & Neurodivergent Studies, which only requires you to complete a bachelor’s degree as part of their entry requirement & that’s pretty much it.

@Cuddlebear lovely to hear from you, was thinking of you the past few days and wondering how you were going at PARC. Sorry that the first few days were very rough, but glad to hear you are on the improve and even if so far only slightly better than pre-admission. So glad you have the supports there and I really hope it helps over the weeks you spend there. Hope the new meds help too 😊🥰.

@Blackcloud that sounds a really good approach with the different postgraduate options you can take up. 😊 there are so many interesting things to study these days, I wish I could study without the exams or fees lol. 😅 I guess thats just called research lol.

@Chasingsunsets it took me ages to find the frog in the brown-yellow picture 🤣🤣. But I did finally!! Lol had to zoom in to the pic before I could see it.

@Shaz51 @ArraDreaming @REDLINEZ750 @Eve7 @PeppyPatti @ENKELI @Glisten and also to R3ven, AuntGlow (who probably have way too many tag notifications already so I will spare you lol), and others reading along that I have forgotten to tag..

Highlight of my day... 🤔

Things went well at work today. And my boss said she is very glad to have me working in her team (as im on a temp role with them) and hopes they can keep me around even after it ends because they like my skills/thinking.

Feedback like that is always nice.

@AlwaysMyself yeah, same here. It would be nice if that were the case for studying without having to worry about any of those ‘obstacles’ indeed. That’s great to hear that you got that feedback from your boss today. For me when I hear positive feedback from any higher ups relating to my skills & that they’re happy for me to part of the team, it makes me feel really good emotionally and mentally & makes me feel that I belong in the workplace. I’m yet to experience that in any employment workplace though.. hopefully when I get to pursue a career that’s related to my intended career pathway then hopefully I’ll get that type of feedback one day. 🤞

@PeppyPatti darling, doing a handstand is great if you're 13. Not so great if you're over 50 and not an athlete so if you don't achieve it, it's okay. Really!

Skipping with a skipping rope - If it didn't involve rotation of shoulders I could do it - make sure you have high impact shoes on 😍

Touch my toes with straight legs. I can do that. Ex friend was always miffed that she couldn't because she's a size 14 and I can as a size 20/22. Maybe it's because I am 5'4" and she was 6' I don't know.

@Glisten no my Tomaatti, family comes first. Besides as you said I wouldn't have asked you. I never intend to overdo it, but then the mood strikes and I am an all or nothing person.

I think part of the reason I have GORD is because of the anti inflammatories I was required to take when I hurt my shoulder back in 1997. I was one of the first people in Australia (so I've been told) to have the new type of anti inflammatory prescribed to me and made sure I took them with food. I still take those ones when needed (the ones that sound like celebrate if you catch my meaning 😁)

I'm praying you heal quickly and that your physio is good looking.

@AlwaysMyself your highlight, what a wonderful thing for your boss to say and I pray you do get to stay in the role too. It sounds like a nice environment to work in.

Go you! 🤗
