What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share 🫶

Hi everyone! This is my first ever forum post so do hope it lands where it’s meant to 🤣

Most days, I like to find a highlight 😊. Usually, that means during a walk with my dog, I try to spot something different, something cool or something that brings me some happiness. Whether it’s something big or small, it doesn’t matter. A highlight can be anything!

I love taking photos and would really like to share and see what you've come across. Something that made you smile, sparked your interest, or simply caught your eye. For me, it’s all the little things that count on the hard days.


To start, I’d like to share these beautiful birds I came across today. They like to appear like branches of a tree or the tree itself. They are called Tawny Frogmouth’s. Has anyone else seen these types of birds? My pics below -(hopefully not too small to see two in the tree on the left pic).

We’ve got a week of rain forecast, but i was able to get in a walk to the local supermarket. Lovely pics @heartathome .

Glad you got a walk in this morning @GezzaP

I try to see days like this as a way to fortify our beautiful country.

Guess what? I'm going to have a full body shower today for the first time in 7 weeks. I'm not a grotty person, but having sponge baths since surgery has made me a bit of a "stinker".

Have given myself a 9:30 deadline so, here goes....

@Chasingsunsets thanks, yep I'm still having carrot and apple juice every day. I've also started having "anti-depressant food platters" full of foods that are good for mental health. I'm getting my five vegetables and 3 fruit a day easily now.

I love the watermelon flavoured hydralyte. I don't eat a lot of watermelon as they are a bit big for one person.

@Blackcloud I'm sorry to hear about the headaches. I hope the upcoming PMS cycle is better for you. I find sometimes the combination of PMS and stress can cause headaches even when PMS on its own doesn't. I hope you don't have to go through terrible headaches every month.

@Blackcloud that's a huge out of pocket cost to pay. I can understand why you don't like to go to the dentist. Sometimes it can be worth telling reception that you are on the DSP, because it is possible to get a discount that way, but it depends on the service. I use my DSP card to get concession rates on lots of things. I used to use my student card but found the DSP card can have unexpected cost cuts that a student card won't give. The big ones were swimming, the zoo, the GP and the psychologist.
