What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share 🫶

Hi everyone! This is my first ever forum post so do hope it lands where it’s meant to 🤣

Most days, I like to find a highlight 😊. Usually, that means during a walk with my dog, I try to spot something different, something cool or something that brings me some happiness. Whether it’s something big or small, it doesn’t matter. A highlight can be anything!

I love taking photos and would really like to share and see what you've come across. Something that made you smile, sparked your interest, or simply caught your eye. For me, it’s all the little things that count on the hard days.


To start, I’d like to share these beautiful birds I came across today. They like to appear like branches of a tree or the tree itself. They are called Tawny Frogmouth’s. Has anyone else seen these types of birds? My pics below -(hopefully not too small to see two in the tree on the left pic).

@Taali oh I am so glad you accept the name. I don't bestow it on just anyone you know, you have to be worthy 😍

I even googled Greek restaurants near me and alas there are none! I did do a Greek lamb dish for Mothers Day that was well received. I can't do a lot of things but I can cook, thank goodness ha ha!
I have a tin of dolmades in the cupboard if I get desperate!

Butchers are the best. There is an amazing butcher where I used to live, I would often buy our meat from there. There are a couple of decent ones around me but I have become lazy and prefer easy to prep meals these days.
I need to get motivated again as I do love cooking.

Enjoy your souvlaki, my mouth is watering.

Oh, I had a salami and cheese toasty for dinner. Bet you wish you were having that instead eh?! 😅

My highlight today is waking up another morning without depression and that therefore i should be able to take my down syndrome daughter out to day. i have no seen or for near 14 days and have been missing her beautiful soul a lot.

I missed the bus this morning so rang a taxi instead to experience this sunrise. We've got a week of sunshine, so expect more. 💚

@heartathome It looks like a wonderful day coming up here you are at. It is still dark here but the sky is brightening slightly the upcoming dawn

@Chasingsunsets @GezzaP @PeppyPatti @ENKELI Ny wife is gone but here chooks are still soiling our veranda. Try catching them? And i trained the dogs not too.They do look cute thoi did fix the fence so now i can keep them out. And decided i best feed them so at least at night they are quiet.
