What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share 🫶

Hi everyone! This is my first ever forum post so do hope it lands where it’s meant to 🤣

Most days, I like to find a highlight 😊. Usually, that means during a walk with my dog, I try to spot something different, something cool or something that brings me some happiness. Whether it’s something big or small, it doesn’t matter. A highlight can be anything!

I love taking photos and would really like to share and see what you've come across. Something that made you smile, sparked your interest, or simply caught your eye. For me, it’s all the little things that count on the hard days.


To start, I’d like to share these beautiful birds I came across today. They like to appear like branches of a tree or the tree itself. They are called Tawny Frogmouth’s. Has anyone else seen these types of birds? My pics below -(hopefully not too small to see two in the tree on the left pic).

Hey @heartathome yeah chemists will sell anything , deodorant , washing powder etc

was too tired to do what I did today. Over now tho. Yes, country. some people commute 60ks each way. yeah cant understand how newsagent stays open here . maybe its a tax write off

@Chasingsunsets it's been up and down, I've met a slight challenge this week with some pain surfacing, but my physiotherapist has given me some new exercises to help strengthen my intrinsic muscles on the inside of my ankles, to stop them rolling outwards and potentially reinjuring...

I am transitioning to two reformer classes per week which is amazing! 🥰 Coming into 8 months post accident,

Working two days at the moment, it's a middle ground, so focusing on foot strengthening and mental wellbeing 🌻✨️

@PeppyPatti darling I understand how you feel. My Narcisister has systematically taken every single one of my fathers' family away from me. She started with her sister, my half sister, then my aunt who I loved dearly and whose funeral I wasn't able to go to because of this sister. She then moved on to my cousins, one by one they ignore me and refuse to acknowledge me. All 6 of them. I was close friends with a couple who were friends with dad and she has taken them away from me as well.

I don't know how or what she has said but she is the one common denominator.

What miffs me the most is that she hardly knows/knew dad's side of the family as they are all in WA. I grew up with them, visited them every time I went to Geraldton (which was almost every school holiday as a kid)

As I write this I am holding back tears of hurt and confusion.

It was Narcisisters' 50th birthday yesterday. I didn't bother contacting her because I can't think of anything nice to say to her. I hate that I will miss out on a lot of my fathers' things that he'd promised me because she won't send them over to me. And I can't afford to go to NSW. When I say she is just like our father it is not a positive comment.

So I understand how you must feel with your mother hating you. She is missing out on so much and will one day regret her behaviour.

Evening @Rosepetal96 🫶, sorry to hear about your foot curve ball. It’s amazing what the body does to compensate but then can make things a bit worse so it’s good you have a new physio and they sound helpful ☺️. Congrats on transitioning to transformer classes!! That’s awesome!

Evening everyone, hope your Friday has some good in it ☀️

My highlight tonight has to be finally trying out the air fryer for the first time ☺️

Got to laugh though, when I was unpacking it out of the box- I forgot at the start I unpacked these two flat bits, I put them aside to get the main part out. Anyway continued unpacking and thought it was weird it didn’t come with instructions, even looking back in the box for them 😂. So anyway I googled what I wanted to know and started cooking. Got half way through when I saw the two flat bits on the bench- the drip trays and the instructions 😂. So yeah a bit easier with the instructions and drip tray 😂🙈🙊.
Dinner still turned out okay 😂😂

Hahaha glad you didn't accidentally fry the instructions @Chasingsunsets!! I once got these 'air fryer liners' from like Temu or something... they were baking paper, which seems all well and good...except when you're heating something too small to keep the sheet flat on the bottom, and so in the heat vortex the edges go flying up and start to touch the filament....

Thankfully I smelled the burning before I actually set anything aflame!!
