What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share 🫶

Hi everyone! This is my first ever forum post so do hope it lands where it’s meant to 🤣

Most days, I like to find a highlight 😊. Usually, that means during a walk with my dog, I try to spot something different, something cool or something that brings me some happiness. Whether it’s something big or small, it doesn’t matter. A highlight can be anything!

I love taking photos and would really like to share and see what you've come across. Something that made you smile, sparked your interest, or simply caught your eye. For me, it’s all the little things that count on the hard days.

To start, I’d like to share these beautiful birds I came across today. They like to appear like branches of a tree or the tree itself. They are called Tawny Frogmouth’s. Has anyone else seen these types of birds? My pics below -(hopefully not too small to see two in the tree on the left pic).

What have you seen today? ☀️💛🙏

@Shaz51

Wow, these shots are amazing! I like how the city blends with the ocean, with the mountains rising beautifully in the background. 😊

Thank you @Bow 🙏💞

Yes you're right @Oaktree I was really anxious about it. But young Hannah kept me on the straight and narrow, did her thing, and breezed through all the testing. 🐕❤️

I was really relieved as it is trauma anniversary for me (today actually) and I have been all over the place the past week from nightmares, lack of sleep and high anxiety. So it has not been easy.

But thankfully Hannah performs her tasks well, which enables me to get through. I am very thankful. 💕

@Shaz51 for info this post and earlier one today

I feel the same way about this thread @SaltwaterSoul It makes me stop and think.

I’ve especially found that focusing on small steps helps me minimise catastrophising and giving in to the anxiety that things won’t work out. I could be more aware of my thinking and do this. Thanks for reminding me! 🙂 💜

@Glisten I am so glad to see that I am not the only one that names the huntsman. @Bunniekins does too. That is awesome.

Hi @SaltwaterSoul I am glad that I can pass on the inspiration that I received from looking at the posts at Hobbies and Projects.

Here people put up any hobbie or project that they have been doing and share it with our wonderful community. They have also inspired me to start doing some Diamond Dots (painting) again, and I have ordered one, which I will start doing once it arrives.

I just colour in using normal colouring in pencils. The picutres I picked is very details and is going to take me a while to do, but I found one that I started a while ago of a butterfuly, so I decided that I will finish that one first and then go on to the detailed seahorse.

Most of my problem is that I think that I have nothing to get up for, but by having these little projects, they will get me out of bed.

I look forward to seeing what you produce.

@Bunniekins well done for spending some extended time with your mum. I bet that feels so good.

Sorry to hear that she needs a massive operation. That doesn't sound good. Send you and her all my love and prayers.

OMG @ENKELI I am so sorry to hear this. And yes I can see how this can be distressing. Are you ok and safe now?

I am ok. Trying to decide if I should do something about my medication or not. I am not in a bad place or anything, I am just not in a happy place. And the medication I was on two times ago, made me feel awesome and happy and I had so much motivation. But unfortunately they have stopped making that medication, so I am on one of the generic brands of that medication. Do I just plod along not being overly happy and not have much motivation in life, or do I risk changing medication again. I think I will discuss it at my next doctors appointment.
