@heartathome How are you lovely? I’m glad you’ve been able to get out for some coffee at the cafe and even on a walk. The price of a coffee or just prices at cafes have really gone up.

Yep it went really well during the NDIA meeting back on Thursday. The planner I had was lovely and wasn’t the opposite at all which I really appreciate!! With the counselling report I submitted written by my counsellor that she saw, she added some funding for that which is great!! And at the moment, my current psychologist who I’ve just seen 2 weeks ago is about to start writing up a support letter for me that I can use to make another plan change request later on (for funding to be added for psychology supports cause I would hope for the love of god that funding for that can be added instead of me having to use Medicare rebate to fund for the sessions out of pocket)

I can’t wait to receive my new plan hopefully next week cause the planner did kind of hint at that by asking me what time next week I’d be available for my LAC to call me regarding my new plan implementations. 😊

so seems like things are going pretty well with my new plan (really hope they don’t consider cutting out the funding during the process 🤞)

Yeah, the NDIS is frustrating with paying for appointments with psychologists. They push for using the Mental Health Care Plan for the Medicare rebate instead of providing funding. The NDIS doesn't seem to consider that it is hard to find a psychologist that doesn't charge well above the Medicare rebate rate. It can be just too expensive on a low budget to pay the out-of-pocket costs. I hope something affordable is sorted out for you.

it really does, although I’m glad my current psych clinic/service offers instalment payments but even with that that’s still a bit of money to spend on out of pocket 😅

getting psychology supports for the impact of my disability it is (instead of for mental health — under NDIS criteria) 🙌😌

I'm doing okay. Yeah. It's $6 a cup now (recently gone up and add more on for card) and I'm allowing myself five days ($30 a week). Getting out and shouting myself a coffee through the week is honestly really good for my mental health at the moment!

I’m in emergency with my Mum : it’s really weird she’s quite ill. I don’t like her very much my brothers and after all these years we are talking about the achievements we have after growing up with her.
