I got to see Middy for the first time in about 7 days yesterday. She was overjoyed to see me, excited wee's were a thing.

I'm still in the mental health ward, 8 days now and I think a few more still to go yet.

When I take Middy for walks we go to the park and do laps there, but I think ill take her more places this year.

Do you have dogs you walk with?

It was a huge effort to organise buses and trains, and I was very anxious beforehand but once on the bus I was more excited than anxious. It was well worth the reward! ☺️ 💜

@AlwaysMyself - oh I managed to get out for a few hours to see middy, but I was feeling quite sick so no walking yesterday.

@Anonymouse1000, lovely to hear from you, how was seeing Middy? Aw I bet she was so overjoyed to see you, gosh animals are great aren’t they.

It reminded me of a memory of being in hospital in the MH unit and once I was enrolled in a program that had 2 therapy dogs before I got my own dog, it was once a week and I really didn’t want to miss it, I loved it. Unfortunately I wasn’t allowed to get leave to go and I still remember all these years ago.
So that is awesome you were able to go on ?day leave, animals are truly the best, I know I said it above but keep thinking it 🤩

Where is the best place to take Indi for a walk? Where do you go?

I'm all good @Chasingsunsets . I took that photo (out the back of my motel room) while on holidays on Friday. I only went for 24 hours! It was a big trip but well worth going and meeting up with my friend!

Yes, reading the poems again brought back memories and sad emotions (for the traumatised person I was) but the big one was to see how far I've come! Some things from trauma will stay with me for life but that's okay. There has been a lot of healing as well. 💜
