What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share 🫶

What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share 🫶

Hi everyone! This is my first ever forum post so do hope it lands where it’s meant to 🤣

Most days, I like to find a highlight 😊. Usually, that means during a walk with my dog, I try to spot something different, something cool or something that brings me some happiness. Whether it’s something big or small, it doesn’t matter. A highlight can be anything!

I love taking photos and would really like to share and see what you've come across. Something that made you smile, sparked your interest, or simply caught your eye. For me, it’s all the little things that count on the hard days.

To start, I’d like to share these beautiful birds I came across today. They like to appear like branches of a tree or the tree itself. They are called Tawny Frogmouth’s. Has anyone else seen these types of birds? My pics below -(hopefully not too small to see two in the tree on the left pic).

What have you seen today? ☀️💛🙏

I'd be interested to see how Mindspot goes for you @Till23 . I don't know exactly what it is like.

Oh wow, @heartathome I wrote a poem several years ago about bpd and itv really let go of my mother’s annoyance to me and saw it was her choice it isn’t a diagnosis it is her not mine. It was a profound memory years ago ……..

if I find the poem can I send it to you ?

so loved reading your message.
I mean in another world but very close is me displaying bpd traits. I chose the positive choices.
one could say I’m not in reality.
but I’m still my voice speaking.
it’s the chooses I make on how I act.
I better reread this make sure it makes sense. Probably not. lol

I don’t feel comfortable on this thread but I did see about mindspot. I used them many years ago and it was really good. I’m guessing it has expanded a lot more now. I had to do an assessment and they assigned me a course to do, as I finished each section I got a call from a counsellor to see how I was going and what worked and didn’t work for me.

I'm an alcoholic, but kid myself sometimes re brain damage. I most recently heard it can take years after stopping for brain function to fully return

Aww @tyme

but my ex husband has had a terrible life until I met him.
his intelligence is exceptional.
weirdly : as I’m older than you and I know how your life has potential for - I’m impressed with you.

As @TAB @fortunately for me that I can share my innermost thought

I

feel ………. In MY situation, I can see um…. Short term mood swings, a tendency to split. A psychological belief your loved one or whoever to be all good or all bad.
and as I have no titles. I cannot make real diagnosis but in my eyes feels high anxiety.
but. IDE rather own up that I know less than you.

Thanks @Shaz51..I will certainly miss some amazing people on here, such as yourself.. I think I need to see what things are like for me without the forum contact.. I am leaving/taking a significant break for a few different reasons..

@Till23 I wasn’t thinking much about my username either. I just like cuddles and teddy bears. I like real bears too but it’s best not to try cuddling them lol they might think I’m dinner!

Thank you re tapering. It’s not being easy as you know. I’m trying my very best which I hope will be enough. Yes it’s hard with concurrent disabilities and peripheral artery disease.

It’s so very kind to say you’d help if you lived closer. I know you would too. I think if we met just randomly somewhere we would really get along.

How did you go with your dad’s place? It would have been hard having to pack and sort things out. Not just the doing it part but all the emotions involved too.

I wish my tapering was easier. I realise everybody responds differently and I was hoping I’d have a better time if it but that wasn’t the case. I still have more tapering to go. But not ready yet my body and mind are too overwhelmed and it would be quite a disaster to push it considering my experience so far and how I’m feeling.

We have the same diagnosis and I can empathise with how hard it is when having depressive episodes coupled with cPTSD with anxiety too. I just want to say that the forums are also a place to receive support. You’re one of the kindest people here always willing to reach out and support people. You also deserve to be supported and can do that via your own thread if you wanted to. I’d certainly love to be able to support you and I’m a good listener too. You wouldn’t be bothering me with your stuff at all. If anything I’d want to help and walk with you no matter how long that walk might be. I’ve always tried to be a good and bad weather friend. You’re also not a burden in the event you feel that way. Not everything is roses and cream and I understand that.

I will check out Mindspot. It’s certainly worth a try.

Remember anytime you want you can tag me and I will respond. I’ve even got your personal thread saved as a favourite making it easier to find.
