I haven't really had any highlights this past week so I'm even more impressed with your pie and shopping for shirts.

@Chasingsunsets I love your photos! I had never heard of a musk lorikeet, they are so pretty.

I used to get rainbow lorikeets when I lived in another suburb - they would come and perch on my pink & greys' cage and eat his seed bell. Sam, my galah, would just sit in the corner of his cage and watch them. The only birds I see these days are the pink and greys and occasionally a bin chicken so I am super happy to see your photos 🙂

@Chasingsunsets my highlight yesterday was that I visited a friend who I will be house sitting for in a couple of weeks, and I got some loving from their dogs, and I also had a quick visit at my mum's and got some loving from my cat. I really wish I could have a pet in the cabin, but it is what it is 😐

Hey there @ENKELI 😊, thanks re pics- it was such a boost when I saw these guys and awesome lighting when I was taking the pics of the musk lorikeets!
I also had not of musk lorikeets before either!! So it’s been a real highlight seeing them!! Wonder if I just thought all colourful birds flying past were lorikeets or parrots but I have been wanting to pay more attention to my surroundings and work out which birds or animals I come across so this was cool!

I didn’t know you had a bird! Sounds like he was nice to let your wild lorikeets have some of his seed! It has been funny watching the birds some get stuck into each other 🤭. Lol the bin chicken that made me laugh! I rescued one not long ago, had a bung wing. I am glad you like my pics, makes me happy ☺️🙏

Oohhh nice one @Mustang67 !! I love a good house sit and some dog loving is 💯. Animals are amazing aren’t they!! What kind of cat do you have? Sorry you aren’t allowed pets where you are staying do you get many birds or anything around your area? I love the pic you sent it’s beautiful thankyou!!

@Chasingsunsets yes his name was Sam. Unfortunately he escaped from his cage and disappeared.

I prefer to think that he is off having fun rather than the opposite.

I love our wild birds. They are so colourful, even though they can be annoyingly loud!

Lovely photos @Chasingsunsets - I also had never heard of or seen a "musk" lorikeet! The only type of lorikeet I was familiar with was the rainbow ones. Gosh they used to make a loud racket in the tree that so many would all perch in that I used to walk past on the way to the shops.
