What has been your highlight today, no matter how big or small? Come share 🫶

Hi everyone! This is my first ever forum post so do hope it lands where it’s meant to 🤣

Most days, I like to find a highlight 😊. Usually, that means during a walk with my dog, I try to spot something different, something cool or something that brings me some happiness. Whether it’s something big or small, it doesn’t matter. A highlight can be anything!

I love taking photos and would really like to share and see what you've come across. Something that made you smile, sparked your interest, or simply caught your eye. For me, it’s all the little things that count on the hard days.


To start, I’d like to share these beautiful birds I came across today. They like to appear like branches of a tree or the tree itself. They are called Tawny Frogmouth’s. Has anyone else seen these types of birds? My pics below -(hopefully not too small to see two in the tree on the left pic).

I’m ok @AlwaysMyself . But my teeth and gums hurt. One is very loose. Using baby teething gel to numb gums and teeth.

Finished going through financial mess today, expecting some invoices to come in.

Watching cricket. Can’t drink until gel soaks in to gums and teeth. About to turn air on. Crazy cat was sick then she went outside bet she’ll be back soon.

@rav3n The reason why I have to finish watching so many episodes of Gossip Girl is because 9Now finish streaming it on 30 December this year so I won’t be able to watch it for free after that. I’m not sure what streaming service will pick it up afterwards so that’s my reason for getting through so many episodes so quickly. I hope this makes sense now. I missed watching it in the 2000s when it was originally on - I was at uni in Tasmania and didn’t have access to pay tv so I couldn’t watch it although I did buy the book set when it was released ( the show was from the books originally and I’ve been told by my sister that the tv show changed slightly from the books)- so I’m now watching it whilst I can. I heard years ago who Gossip Girl was on the radio so I want to see how she gets found out in the end.

My highlights for today have been:

- Surviving a VCAT hearing about my rental and being given until 16 January to move out which I’m hoping to do by the 10th at the latest. I just want to start fresh in my new uni accommodation and forget about this rental and the bad property manager as it’s been a very rough year housing wise for me. At least I’m not homeless for Christmas which is what I was scared of happening to me.
- Completing the front of a kids jumper whilst watching the cricket on tv . This is my 3rd jumper in a month with only the sleeves to go along with the neck and then I’ll sew it up to add to my charity pile for a future donation next year.
- Purchased my Christmas ham and got it delivered.

- Started a new beanie for charity

- Ordered pizza from a new local restaurant which I really enjoyed.

I love how you say hello to formites ::

I heard tonight that one of my acquaintances died in her sleep. She struggled with so many enemies. It’s like a waste of a life and in my mind it rings undiagnosed mh.

Hello @Judi9877 I'm so glad you won't be homeless! It's a very stressful situation! I'm happy you're leaving this rental and the bad property manager. Being there a year must have been extremely hard!

My son had to take the owner of his unit to NCAT because he was trying to evict him on a no ground basis and got back $1300 that he tried to steal from him. He couldn't wait to get out of there. Getting somewhere to live these days is almost impossible! He nearly became homeless! He only got a place through the ex-tenant promoting him to the real estate. He worked with him.

It's so nice that you knit for charity! t will be a blessing to others when winter comes!
