Yes @heartathome I’ll watch the ABC news then probably go to bed. Sometimes I read for a little while, but usually I go to sleep quickly. Yes I get up very early it suits me. When I worked I used to check my email and do work stuff before going early to the office. Then I left early and had a nap.

@Shaz51 Oh no. Have you ever had any incidents from them. I assume it would be bloody scary. 🌴

I know from having a boyfriend in Cairns at one stage and visiting my ex's family near Brisbane, just how heavy it rains up there. I was amazed when looking at houses in the area, that they had 3 or 4 storm drains on the house, not like the 1 that we use in Adelaide.

The worse cyclone had lifted the roof in the corner of the spare bedroom @Mustang67

Apart from that cyclone, the others wrecked the gardens and made a mess in the yard with the trees also cuts the power out for a week

@Shaz51 that's not good at all. How do you survive for a week without electricity? You can only store limited products in an eski, but then you can't cook it, unless you have gas, and it wasn't damaged. No bathing, and all the while you are sweating your arse off trying to clean up the damage.

I assume the roof was Colourbond or something similar.

Depends on how bad the cyclone is and how quickly they can put the power back on

Some people have generators, BBQ ect

@Shaz51 So obviously if you live in a cyclone area, you would be prepared and organised. Oh Duh! My brain didn't even venture that far. Lol

You can tell that I haven't been without power for more than a few hours. I would have no idea. I am sure eventually a BBQ would have crossed my mind.

You can only do soo much and then you just have to wait and see what happens
