Hi @Jynx so remember last time I mentioned to you a bit about me wanting to switch degrees (from psychology to a counselling degree or a BA majoring in counselling) ?

Well as of now I’m still doing the psychology degree and actually I’ve been hesitant in wanting to switch because I noticed that a lot of people (like 95%+ overall) who are working and/or volunteering in a service that’s in the mental health (and crisis management like I’m doing) field are doing and/or have done a psychology degree - it’s crazy to me how psychology is such a common degree for that many of us and no other alternative degree like counselling.

So I was thinking hmmm then perhaps I should just stick to doing psychology and not switch.
BUT at the same time, psychology itself is very heavy on theory and research (which is not ideal for me and my autistic brain and energy) and it’s already been making me feel overwhelmed and lots of times, I’ve been wanting to crash out due to it lol.

I’ve already had it with the other psychology core unit I did last trimester & to be honest I don’t know how I survived but I did pass the unit overall which is great.

the psychology core unit I’m doing this trimester is quite similar — but to be honest I’m pretty sure every psych core units are very much the same in terms of how heavy the theory and stuff are..

the other unit I’m doing this trimester is statistics and so far stats isn’t going too bad!

@Chasingsunsets the closest path is about a 15 minute drive from me. There is an oval that I used to walk my dog on but it isn't the nicest for walking without a dog and I will probably never get another dog.

I am thinking of getting a bike but will need to save up for it or wait until I have a job.

My highlight today was finishing a 4-hour shift selling poppies and other merchandise for the RSL for Remembrance Day. There were a ton of badges, and I was trying to keep a stock of them on the table, but they were very popular.

@Oaktree well done on selling the poppies, that is definitely a highlight. I hope there is someone selling them when I go shopping tomorrow.
