I am so sorry @Cuddlebear I missed this post because there isn't a tag for me, I saw @Chasingsunsets tagged me and mentioned this post, so I found it!. I have only just logged on today as I was a bit busy.
This afternoon I just went on a short walk with a new group of people (without waiting for physio appointment), as I wanted to meet at least some of the people in the group. It was a group of over 40s ladies and they were all nice. A couple in particular I had some similarities with, so it was good and of course I got the exercise as well. My knee held up, although I might think differently tomorrow!
I will see physio for knee tomorrow.
I had a good training session at the club, and a couple of people in one of the other teams commented on my success at Australian Masters Games, so that was nice.
I am so glad your GP is helping you with the tapering and that you are seeing him regularly (although yes, GP appointments are usually quite short).
Sorry to hear about the psychologist cancelling on you, how did that feel?
MH services are so over-stretched, I am lucky that I can afford to pay the ridiculous prices that psychologists now charge and even then it's not easy to get an appointment. I understand they don't get the full amount they charge due to admin, rent etc but still they do very well.
Is the social worker due to being on NDIS (I am assuming you are as you seem very eligible from the little I know about you).
We probably can't talk too much about withdrawals on here, but one time I withdrew from a particular AD (now known to have the worst withdrawal effects) I found that it effected so many different body systems. I think constant low level nausea (and other gut symptoms) and a very particular type of brain fog with a bit of vertigo were the worst symptoms. Mainly I think because it took a while for the psychological symptoms to appear, which were pretty much the symptoms of not being on the AD.
I'm not sure what you are doing but tapering slowly is a fairly new thing, previously there was no, or very rapid, large step tapering. Also just so you are not suprised many people find withdrawal symptoms continue for a while after the actual tapering has finished. I have tapered under direction of GP, but actually on a kind of plan, so I didn't see her during the time. I could have made an appointment I suppose, but I just didn't, because I kind of don't do those things!
I certainly do not envy you
I shall have a look for you on forums tomorrow
