@Apar Making new friends can feel frustrating sometimes. Sometimes it can take a while to meet people who you really click with, or just to get to know someone better if they are more reserved and slowly build the trust to get to know them.

What ways have you tried so far for meeting new people?

Hobby/interest/activity groups?

Meet-up / social "make new friends" groups/events?

Friends-of-friends/family? (e.g. host a meal for "bring a friend")

Community groups? (Lions Club, etc)

If applicable - work or uni or school-children's-parents?

Hi @tyme @Till23 @Shaz51 @Kashmina @ArraDreaming @Chasingsunsets

How is everyone tonight,

I took hubby out on a date today. We drove all the way out to the Swan Valley and went [edited by moderator] for lunch. I had a croissant and hubby had a toasted sanga with a cup of tea and we both had chips. When 2 bowls of chips arrived I told hubby that I would have shared mine. He said he just fancied chips. They were yummy but we had way too many. I ended up buying an orange and passion fruit mineral water. Then on the way out I bought my daughter a pack of milk chocolate covered pretzels. I have a package that I hadn’t taped up yet for her. I filled in the customs declaration and will post it tomorrow.

Eeeppp lots of doctors for you this week @Shaz51 . Hope it all goes well, and I hope the pathology nurses take the blood easily with no pain or bruising. 😊

Is it long-term maintenance/management, or are you on a waiting list for an available replacement? (If that is OK to ask? If not, please ignore that I have asked!) If the latter, my fingers are crossed for you that it is sooner rather than later.

Sounds like a busy week ahead @Shaz51 , I’ll be thinking of you during this time. I can say I know the feeling of all that stuff. Hopefully they are mostly running on time and all goes smoothly 🙏

We will be around if you need a chat over coffee ☕️😊

Yeah big mood @Snowie it seems like brain fog season 😅

@Apar honestly one thing that is often overlooked is repeated hang outs. It actually takes many many hours for friendships to form, like 1000 or something. As adults, it's a lot harder to find the time to make friends cos we're not crammed into a room with the same 30 people every day, year after year. Sounds like you are making good connections - maybe it's just about making a regular time to see them?

@ArraDreaming omg blesssss baby smiles are SO contagious too!! Cuuuuute!! And already two months WHAAAAAT I swear my time blindness keeps getting worse lol 😂 💜

@Kashmina Oh I do it that way too!! Hahaha 😅 Buuut trying to be more intentional and sometimes almost...ritualistic? with it I guess. It does help! Just gotta remember to engage with the process before it gets to 'overloaded' levels 🙃😋

Thank you @Till23 that means the world. Honestly being back here is helping, everyone is so lovely and caring. Y'all are making me feel very warm and fuzzy indeed 💜

@Oaktree your day sounded lovely!! Can’t go wrong with some hot chips at the end too!! The choc coated pretzels sound yummy! Where does she live?

I am going to have an early one tonight, it’s been pretty chill this evening for me which has been nice. Night all 😊

I hope you have a good night to match your awesome day @Oaktree 😊
