Feeling caged up

Feeling caged up

The recent medication changes has calmed my brain down. I’m still feeling caged up, I know my psych is looking at more frequent therapy sessions if we can get more under ED plan. Once a month sessions aren’t enough. It just feels like the traumatic memories aren’t ending, I’ve been in therapy for years. It’s taking so long to heal. I just want to get to the point the body flashbacks aren’t so regular

Re: Feeling caged up

I normally sleep 8-10 hours with meds I take. So 7 is only ok. Hoping to sleep

more tonight. Will go to bed after have put heat pad on my back again and have taken meds. Will do back and neck exercises too. Hoping to sleep until 6am.

Sorry to hear you are struggling right now. Glad you are getting some help with all that.

I’m very busy this week and next week with medical and home maintenance appts.

Re: Feeling caged up

Ok @AuntGlow the appt is 9-10am then I have to go to eye exam at 11.30. So we can catch up in the afternoon say 10.30-12 or after 2 cause I’m going to have lunch while I’m out. Cooking lamb rack roast tomorrow afternoon and will do a bit of gardening.

Re: Feeling caged up

@GezzaP I hope you had a restful night. Medical and home maintenance can keep you busy.

Feeling rather numb and dissociative right now, migraine feels bad, just took some pain relief.

@AuntGlow I took note of the exercises, I'm not sure if I really processed everything during the session, might look back at it at another time when my mind feels clearer

@creative_writer I only slept 4 hours unfortunately. Feeling a bit tired. Sadly I have to drive to an appt.

Sorry to hear you are struggling. Hope day improves and migraine goes away.

morning @AuntGlow waiting for psychologist to call. Then I have to call GP and then go to eye specialist. Busy this morning.

No rush @creative_writer. I hope you're feeling okay today. What's one thing you can do for you this afternoon? 💛

How have your appointments gone? @GezzaP 🫶

Re: Feeling caged up

@AuntGlow Appts went ok psychologist was fine. I was open with him.

Got new glasses being made and optometrist says I’ll probably have to have a cataract removed from my left eye in about 6 months. Yuck eye surgery.
Didn’t drive as I’m so tired it is unsafe. Got taxi to shopping centre bought a couple of things had an early lunch then went to optometrist.

Walked home even though it hurts my back. Took an hour. After a break I might do a bit of gardening. Trying to wear myself out so I can sleep longer tonight.

May get a phone call about a solar battery quote.

Got an appt with GP to do mental health care plan next Tuesday.

@GezzaP it’s better than the morning, still in a bit of pain, might try massaging. I can’t take too much migraine pain relief without agitation. I hope the eye appointment went okay 💖

@AuntGlow I got the pain down a bit. Took pain relief, wrapped a scarfe around my head. I was able to get the intensity down so I could take a walk with sunglasses on. I have tinted glasses on right now, super sensitive to light. I am no longer disassociating.

Re: Feeling caged up

Glad to hear you have improved a bit now. @creative_writer I don’t like light when I’ve got a headache either. I’m getting new glasses and in about 6 months I will have to have a cataract removed from my left eye. Spoke to psychologist this morning he was fine. Also organised GP appt for next Tuesday. Go back to chiro Monday. If chiro doesn’t work this time I will try chinese acupuncture. Need a massage as well I reckon.

About to watch news and 7.30 report the I’ll start getting ready for bed. Was so tired had to get taxi to eye specialist appt. I walked back took an hour.
