Feeling caged up

Feeling caged up

The recent medication changes has calmed my brain down. I’m still feeling caged up, I know my psych is looking at more frequent therapy sessions if we can get more under ED plan. Once a month sessions aren’t enough. It just feels like the traumatic memories aren’t ending, I’ve been in therapy for years. It’s taking so long to heal. I just want to get to the point the body flashbacks aren’t so regular

Such good news!! @GezzaP

I am so proud of you for taking action to support your mental and physical health, even when things are hard.

You've come so far in the last couple of weeks, it's made me smile. 🫶

Re: Feeling caged up

@AuntGlow Thank you. Yes my bipolar is quite well managed but I get some episodes. I always get back, neck and headache when not sleeping well due to the stress. I slept nearly 7 hours last night with the extra meds. I went to bed early so I’m awake early. Still hypomanic but under control.

Having my cataracts checked today to see if they need doing. Also got tradies coming today (roller shutters for windows that don’t have them - 4 and a quote on a solar battery). My gardener/cleaner is coming today so I’ll have some company which is nice.

Done my back and neck exercises this morning already.

About to do my Spanish lessons for today.

Re: Feeling caged up

@GezzaP I hope today has been kind and you were able to get more sleep💖. I’m feeling rather anxious. My body feels wrong.

@AuntGlow I attended the last one, I hadn’t gone to them for a while, it was nice and refreshing to go. Always amazing to be around other ND writers.

Re: Feeling caged up

I slept for 7 hours last night and had a snooze this afternoon. @creative_writer @AuntGlow Been for 2 walks today. Had a pie and cake for lunch for a treat. Had a light dinner.

Will go out to lunch tomorrow when I go to see optometrist to see how far my cataracts have developed. The appt is at lunch time.
Also have telehealth appt with psychologist tomorrow morning. Hope I get on with him. Will cook rack of lamb and roast veggies in the afternoon. Before psych calls will water pots under eaves and others if it doesn’t rain. Hoping to sleep well again tonight.

Going to have a smoke before I watch the news. Attempted quit day is Saturday or whenever I run out of smokes.

Re: Feeling caged up

@GezzaP I know 8 hours is usually ideal, but it sounds like your sleep was better than the day before. I hope the appointments go well 💖.

Lamb and roast veggies around lovely. I might try to get some bloods done tomorrow morning.

I feel at loss, I need to get over this. I need to stop hurting this much

Re: Feeling caged up

@creative_writer For about a week I was only sleeping for 3-4 hours so 7 hours is fantastic. Will take extra meds again tonight so hopefully have a long sleep. Got a boring book to read if I wake up during the night.

Looking forward to roast dinner tomorrow.
oh no what is going on for you?

Re: Feeling caged up

@GezzaP 7 hours is almost normal. I’m not sure what your normal is, mine is around 8 hours or a bit more.

Rn= right now. My body feels super uncomfortable, it feels gross. Thoughts “could’ve I have done something to stop it” on repeat. I know I couldn’t be they keep coming
