Re: Hi

As frustrating as all of that is, @ArraDreaming your awareness is really good. And you've really quickly understood the over- vs understimulation stuff. Super impressed! I hope having the language to use to describe your experience can be helpful. I know it is for me.

It's also really nice to see that you can see the differences between Mrs AD and yourself, but that you aren't viewing the differences as good vs bad; just different. I would call myself an ambivert (a bit introverted; losing my energy from some social situations but gaining some energy sometimes too, depending on the person).

I like how you're reflecting on how you've changed over time. That's so cool to see.

What sort of things help you when you're overstimulated, and what helps when you're understimulated?

Re: Hi

I’m still unsure what helps me when I’m in understimulated

over is definitely space, food.
@0ddsidian

interesting how it shifts depending on your day when Mrs ad was working at home and didnt have all the kids at home she was always seeking contact and talking whereas I needed to decompress from the day

adding kids in adds a whole layer again

My issue is at the Time it’s hard for me to spot I only know these things in hindsight @0ddsidian which is why my anger puts me into so much trouble
I get angry them realise after what happened

Re: Hi

The holidays have gone too quickly @ArraDreaming . I don't know how I'm going to get up and get the kids up during daylight savings when it first starts!

Re: Hi

That's it, hey? And healing is never linear. I notice a back and forth within myself SO often. I get frustrated and upset when I haven't made the progress I think I should have by now... but I look at where I was a year ago and go, 'actually, I am operating differently with x, y, z - and that's progress!'

What is something you are doing differently now that you weren't able to a year ago? @ArraDreaming 💛
