I totally agree with you ! I find that when I'm 'socialising' I always take one of the kids so that I can 'hide' behind them. I honestly feel safer when I'm with one of the kids because the pressure is off me, and the kid is usually in the spotlight. And like you said, you can say you need to go because the kiddo is grumpy!

Go slow mate. One step at a time. Can get it all right over night. I think this year has been one of your biggest 'growth' years. One of the hardest too I have to say, but it's grow that is evident. @ArraDreaming

And we want that too. But we can only do so much. The rest is up to you. We can give you the tools, but you gotta work the tools right.

I believe in you and knowing that you are probably the first to get to where you are now. You are the one who will probably break that intergenerational cycle that you've been witness to all your life.

I feel you already have broken the cycle in many ways.

Yeah, agree not easy at times and god I have really effed up a lot of times but I can reflect on those times more

No parent to call for advice, and sometimes I don’t get it right because I’m just having a go and doing my best

I feel that in many ways, it's been painful in that these hard boundaries have been put in place. It's been a painful learning curve for us and you.

Yet in all this, I feel that with any growth, there are growing pains. And without the growing pains, there is no growth.

There has been hurt, upset, tears and pain, but it's all part of growing...

For a lot of things we have to do, we cringe and it hurts, but in the long run, there is growth on all sides from it.

We're in this journey together.
