@rav3n
I domt offer a lot of variety hahaha
long blacks, caps, lattes that’s pretty much it
I got some mugs from the op shop so people don’t just get takeaway and leave they stay and talk

Hey @0ddsidian do you remember how I was going to say something about my adhd and decided it needed a new thread
well I won’t make a new threa so but I wanted to say this
you asked how my adhd affects me, well
some of it does show up like this:
I say or do stuff without thinking and then regret it.
My emotions flip fast one minute I’m raging, next I’m crushed with guilt this is because I act impulsively and get angry then regret it after
I get stuck worrying about things
Feeling judged hits me way too hard.
Appointments and plans can overwhelm me sometimes
Noise, chaos overstimulation make me shut down or escape and makes me angry
I can’t sit still like if I have to work at a table or a training day
But also creative
enegery to play with my family
I have to skip every day with a skipping rope haha
But here the thing I was trying to say , not all of that is ADHD some of that will be on a list of adhd signs, like for sure. But Some of it comes from trauma or some of it is just like my personality. Losing my temper, being stubborn, being playful, thats actually just called being a human. People lean on the label too much I feel and using it to explain every little thing. Yeah ADHD explains some things, trauma explains some things but also a lot of it can still just be personality. A adhd diagnosis doesn’t void you of a personality outside of that label. We are still preprogrammed with other things. Thats just being human. You can still laugh, mess up, get angry, be creative and it doesnt always need to be “because of my ADHD.”
I get really tired of hearing it sometimes, when you can just be *you*.
I have a few labels to my name… but I also am ME as well.
I am also speaking from a position of being unmedicated for adhd so I have no idea what would happen if I was… how does that work?

@ArraDreaming haha that's good enough! you should add puppuccino to the menu in the future, Nicki might appreciate it 😋
environmentally friendly & encourages people to stick around - that's so smart!! you got any other ideas up ya sleeve for the coffee club?
