I have heard that is can be an issue for Aboriginals... is that right? I mean, genetically? And aren't hearing issues common too? @ArraDreaming
I'm learning. Forgive me if I'm using the wrong language. I am so cautious about what words I use because I don't want to offend anyone. Help me learn @ArraDreaming @Oaktree . Pull me up if I use inappropriate terminology as I don't know any better.

Hi @ArraDreaming I am sorry to hear about your vision problems and also hearing issues. Having another operation sounds nerve wracking. Are you going to Victorian Eye and Ear hospital? I knew someone who worked there years ago.
I also have an unsual eye problem I've had since I was in my early 20s - I have double vision in each eye due to shape of my cornea. I also have short-sightedness like many people and have to wear glasses - I can't wear contacts because of my cornea shape. Now I'm old I wear multifocals! My pterygiums aren't too bad though.
I have started losing my hearing rapidly the last year or so, I have bad tinnitus and vertigo - could be my weird inflammatory/immune thing because I have some lesions in my brain, but I don't really know what's causing it.
It's one of the reasons I haven't been on the forums much because I'm being affected by these ear type problems.
Anyhow, enough about me.
I hope you and kidlets are well again now.

Hey @Till23 ,
Great to see you! Thanks for popping in and sharing. It's so helpful to know that eye conditions are not isolated!
